Also, how do you feel about starting scion over witch? Considering how important life nodes and increased skill duration nodes are, it seems like it may be a better start

Increased duration gem and there are now 6(!) nodes that increase duration on the tree.

According to Matt, Spectres are not so viable anymore (at least in endgame).

After testing out spectres for a couple high level map runs I really don't think its too viable anymore. Evangelist does fine until their proximity shields goes down for a second and then they die.

I think my build is basically going to be:

zombies, srs, and animate weapons.

If they are not viable in standard, they will not be viable in hardcore.

Is it wierd that I cant hit the "show" button?

Yo matt how do you plan on doing vorici mission ? You need to keep the guards alive which is impossible with a summoner build.

Partied with my friends and have them do it for me lol. Its kinda annoying thou minion just kills the target your suppose to protect =/.

It seems a tad ridiculous that some builds (not just summoners) are totally handicapped when it comes to certain masters and there is no way for them to progress with that one unless they either (a) rely on others or (b) come up with a whole new build... :/

Yeah if you want to go zombie/spectre its probably best to roll with a CI build as you have the pt luxury of investing in minion life nodes. My current life build stretches the pts pretty thinly to get everything.

Id say SRS is very hardcore viable. This build barely needs any minion nodes so the rest of the nodes just goes into auras and stacking life, tank stats. With some decent gear I think 6k life is possible.

Yeah I was totally dumbfounded when i failed that mission, I thought the target to protect was going to un-targuable or an ally. Then my dumbass minion just attacked and killed him =(.

Edit: I think I have the passive tree worked out. Front page should be updated to reflect any changes.

to do list:
- 6 link a CoD
- get a +3 fire staff 6L or a Dying Breath or a Pledge of hands. They all look viable to me.
- Get higher es/life gear to have a better left over mana pool

What amulet is best for this build ? I feel like sidhebreath and atziri's foible are very strong.
