I'm not sure whether to use a different gem setup with 20Q Pierce and Drillneck or stick with the recommended and use a rare quiver to give life and resist with some other stats.

Here's my setup, recommend any upgrades (I know my amulet sucks, on list to be upgraded as well as my armor to be rerolled once I get some chaos)

Hello, I'm currently running the Ice shot alternative of the build, just because I like the way it crumbles, and I must say, it's a lot of fun. Although I have some questions because I'm not very experieced at the game, I just play it casually.

I'm currently at the end of normal difficulty and I do pretty decent dmg but I have terrible mana problems. I'm running HoA and HoI temporarily so I have only 50% of manapool available but still, 5 or 6 shots and I'm dry, I need to flask up. It's kinda annoying because I would like to switch the manaflask for something else. So my question is, will the manaproblems still preserve even at the higher difficulties (considering I'm lvl 40 so now is pretty much the time that I start picking up the high dmg and crit nodes)? Is it worth temporarily putting points into Mind drinker (because the fact that I'm using Ice shot, do you think the bonus 0,4% phys dmg manaleech would be sufficient)? Or should I just look for mana regen or mana leech from a gear?

Also, in a single target skill (I'm using Puncture), you are saying I should link the Slower Projectiles gem in there. Why? Why not Faster projectiles? Damage speaking, both gems do the same. So why slow our Puncture shots?

Agree on elreon rings. Also don't overthink it before you reach merciless,the build will start to work better with a little mana leech then. Just run a flask and forget about it now.

Stick with whatever you like, the build is so quick you don't care about it. However, CHAIN + SPLIT ARROW has much higher clearspeed than any of the variant.

Also, Tornado Shot + Drillneck has insane single target also. Just pick what you prefer.

There are much better quivers, than Drillneck, for Tornado (except corrupted for +1 arrow). Especially for single target.

What kind of gem setup would I run with SA?
Was thinking of SA + FA + Added Fire + PCOC + Chain however my Int is pretty low to upgrade PCOC higher =/

Armor or evasion... even my duelist facebreaker build with endurance charges, fortify and ALOT of armor + block from shield nodes was still getting killed often. No matter what it seems neither armor or evasion is gonna save the day as the monsters are too OP now since 2.0....

SA - Chain - AF - PPAD - WED - PTL for maximum DPS.
PCoC for convenience.
Something other than PTL for max leech (I think WED is probably still worth it), but if you're using SA over TS, your gear is probably good enough that leech is less of an issue.
Lose AF in a 5-link.
