[outdated] Caustic Arrow Solo Map MFer (20/300+)

I'm at a loss Statusblue - all that gear is better than or at least equal to mine, you've got far more life - I'm running 3.3k. OTOH, I'm not running maps that high.

Probably going to have to wait for one of the more experienced guys with this build to chime in.

I vaguely recall folks talking about swapping out MF gear for survival gear for some stuff, but I've never made it to painful enough monsters to need that option myself. Although I do keep a set of survival gear for the labyrinth now, or at least the Izaro fights - MF doesn't help with him anyway.

Your gear looks good - could use some levels on CA - the faster stuff dies, the less it hits you.

I'd only run T13-15 maps to complete challenges or for the fun of it. If I were simply interested in MF, I'd sell all maps beyond T12. Magic find at those map levels isn't worth it - too slow and it'll cost you currency.

For example, a T15 core map sells for roughly 50c - extremely unlikely that you'd make up that amount of currency if you were to run it yourself just for MF. The same goes for T14s and to a lesser extent T13s.

Note that T12-T15 are considered "high tier"; maps in this range unlock more difficult combinations of affixes that you won't see in lower tier maps. So pay attention to the map rolls - put aside more dangerous maps until you get a 21 CA (or just sell them).

That said, if you need/want to run those maps I'd drop some magic find for life and survivability.

If you want to go whole-hog, I'd get a Lightning Coil for sure and high life rings. I might also switch to dual curse and use Ice Shot to apply curses - I'd run enfeeble plus temporal chains in really hard maps and probably enfeeble plus vulnerability otherwise. I'd only do this though if I were going to solo the twinned T15 challenge since the gear cost is very high.

was at 9/12 for enchants before starting a session of merciless labruns yesterday (target: trap, aura, curse), now I'm just missing the trap enchant. 50 runs total, average of 8 minutes (5min best one, 13min slowest).

I need to wait for a day that has no golden doors to farm that I guess.. just tedious and not really an achievement after you beat the lab 100+ times. today's lab has even two doors.. blergh

and ofcourse Zana is a stretch for guys with full-time employment + RL, but so what ^^ I'll get that lady in red to level 8 nevertheless.

Im a bit stuck on a few things...

I seem to be having mana issues - every second shot is just a normal arrow. Im using grace and clarity though so that could be it?

Sitting at 3800 life level 79. Not really clearing maps THAT quickly, its seems when i'm in a map with my cyclone mate he is doing huge damage.

What can i better other than the obvious chest piece and bow. Not quite at my second andvarius either but that doesnt matter too much right now.

what is your tree? did you skill the manareg and mana gained on kill nodes close toranger and shadow?

I run with 90-95%% of my mana reserved (Grace, lvl 14 or so clarity, arctic armour) and dont run into mana issues with a 6L that is, I guess it's the remaining 9-10 levels + some manareg stuff. there's literally nothing else we consider, you could level up your clarity 2-3 levels if the int-requirements allow, but else you seem fine on the mana front.

item-wise I think you already see that there's quite some potential in close to any non-unique slot, don't worry, this league is really easy and affordeable to gear up. aim for more resistances, more life and more IIR and you're set :)

Im following the shadow HC build and im pretty sure i have covered all the mana related passives. I might try and level up clarity a few more times but i have had some int issues before.

I really want to buy enlighten but i think its wiser to get a 6link.

Next purchase will be carcass Jack though if i can find one for a decent price!

Yep im just trying to improve bit by bit at this point! 6 link is the dream for more damage. Making fairly good money so far. Struggling to find rings for chaos recipe, RNG gods need to help!

yeah that is with enlighten, see my boots just some post above yours.

maybe post your tree so I can have a look, seems really odd that you run oom after 1 shot already with that low of a reservation on mana globe.

for your upgrade priority, try getting a good EV chest for life and resists to enable a second andvarius first, before trying to get a 6L. We make money even in tier1 maps, you don't have to run the most difficult content to be a money-printing machine ^^

if you really are into saving, run blue tier 1 - 4 maps all day. the transmutes have no real price and you constantly find them back, trade up alts, alchs, jeweller and fuses to exalt or chaos. ultimate goal are exalteds for me, they have trading value and can be converted back to anything really fast if you have to.

Chrono-use seem really knowledgeable.

I am currently stuck. My goal is to farm Void battery, and then later on Skyforth.

Void battery is 100% achievable I know.

The thing is, I want to use my CA char to farm that currency for my "main".

1.How much more currency do I need to invest into my CA to get to a point where any further upgrade would only be optimization? Basically how much more until I can use him as farm char and any upgrade is a small % increase in farm time/enabler for higher tier maps.

2.Whats the best course of farming? Getting bunch of arenas then running to bosses and culling them?

3.How fast can I hope to get Void battery (4 ex=4*80c)?
