After playing many, many Necro, i found the fastest leveling i have ever done with one (it is not good as a league start)Use Frenzy in a tabula and at least one poets with skeletons, GG all the way to mapping (at least).

The neck will be good with ANY Golem build.

Adds dps, makes them super fast (makes me wish the build had room for 2 vaal haste and inc duration), makes them super small (cooler), you will be a frenzy of fire and death. Whats not to like beside the amulet spot being taken?

yeah I thought the same, I was thinking about starting a necro next league but this new ammy makes me wanna try elementalist

Hello :)

I'm guessing the amulet will be good boost for HP based Golemancer. With Elementalist it's benefits are however minimized as more Golems you have already, the less DPS extra Golems will bring. I think the amulet opens up Golemancer slot for other classes such as Scion, Guardian and can boost Occultist as Golemancer as they have less minions than other classes and get most boost out of it.

For the league, item list is looking pretty good. We have already :

Possible upgrade for Animate Guardian helmet (DPS boost for Golems and Specs) :


Possible upgrade for amulet :


Almost certain upgrade for boots (EHP & movement boost as has lot better stats that Bones or Ullr):


If everything work as is looks to work, build is getting nice boost to both DPS and EHP (HP + ES).

More golems is not less dps.

Why is that?

Regarding this build, this is because the necro will lose the ability to summon spectres.
Without spectres / with the amulet would still work actually dps wise, but it's not anymore the same build :)

If I wanted to run 4x Solar Guards and was pressed for sockets, would it be ok to put golems and spectres in my chest, essentially giving me two 5L minions?

It will make them both weaker. You are better off focusing on Golem damage. Golems should have the 6-link to themselves. Summoners are often socket starved. If you can get unset rings for single skills.

What skills are you trying to fit in?

well, giving them both 5 link would work, but your golem will deal less damage, when spectres will do more than a 4 link.
If you are necro having soul weaver, it's probably around the same final dps.

I think you'd still better having to 4L spectre and 6L golems, but try it out, see if it works or not :)

I am actually running a pure spectre build atm with Ahn‘s Heritage and max (65/65) block and was trying to fit golems into the build.

Can’t post gear on phone atm... but I am using Soul Weaver.

I think the „easiest“ way would be to put them in my chest or a Hungry Loop... any ideas?

you need to go 6+1+1+1+1 with 10 golems, as it has the highest dps output actually.
Also you are doing it right, but as said, this is considering 40% less damage chains, if you go 6+1+1+1+1 on a 35% less damage chains, you get around 680k dps for flame golems iirc

Ok, I will be doing tests mixing them when I get some time.

I might actually change 6x Flame Golems Elementalist into 9-10x tweaked version of 4+1+1 variant. 4+1+1 Mix just has so much better defense and about same DPS, that 6x variant could use some change.

Slowly warming to amulet as Uber Elder can actually kill Elementalists Specs and going for Golems only is not actually bad strategy especially if focusing on Uber Elder.

I guess poets pen could be fasters leveling setup if you can have currency for it. Haven't played with it myself but it seems pretty broken in videos.

Yep, TV Specs are already doing most of heavy duty of boss fights with Necro, so losing them hurts DPS very much. Amulets adds some damage, but it won't be anywhere near lost damage from Specs. Elementalist can use amulet easier and it might actually increase DPS as Golems survive Uber Elder much better than Specs.

Hi :)

2x 5-linking should work as both use same links if you take all minion damage nodes + Soul Weaver Specs should be doing about same damage as Golems.

I think that better option is to use 6 link for Golems and 4 link for Tukohama Vanguards as Golems will clear about same speed than both FGs + SGs in 5 links and TVs will be doing tons more damage in 4 link than what SGs can do in 5 link.
