[3.x - Discontinued for now] Burning Spectres - Torch the Atlas - HC Shaper, Elder, Uber Atziri

Good discussion here, guys. Had to go test two of the remaining support gems after your feedback.

Updated skillgem benchmarks:

This was concluded after recording 14 consecutive kills of Avarius, Reassembled (65). Raise Spectre was used together with each of the listed support gems on a 2-link. 1 x Tukohama's Vanguard was used, and all gems were Q19+ and L16+.

No supports: 43 and 42 sec
Minion Damage: 32 sec
Elemental Focus: 30 sec
Burning Damage: 28 and 29 sec
Efficacy: 30 sec
Minion and Totem Elemental Resistance: 33 and 32 sec
Chance to Ignite: 33 sec
Swift Affliction: 35 and 35 sec Note: the somewhat poor results might be influenced by less totem uptime, since the less duration increases the deadtime after a totem has expired.
Controlled Destruction: 44, 40, 43 sec

What about culling strike? That is a sizable amount of general increased damage.

38% inc. dmg and 10% cast speed looks poorly vs 29 more+10inc (chance ignite). And for big bosses (when cull is needed) u can use it with ball lightning.

Chance to ignite has 29% more damage and 10% increased fire dmg. TIL.

Are you sure this still works for wickerman/vanguards? They are not hitting unless this is another obscure hidden tag that GGG does.

It's means cull will be work only with attacks/hits by Molten strike/autoattack ur spectres, but 38% dmg and speed from quality still work.

P.S. Test it 20/20 in uberlab now. with it and without and doesnt see any differences in 1/2 stage (12 and 12) with culling gem (6 linked). Maybe just too small bonus.

Hm, u was right. Chance to ignite doesnt work with normal SR and RF itself. Its just didnt add to link. But its strange cause with Natt's test it give nearly 32% bonus. Maybe its difference mechanic by spectres (cause it can be linked with Chance to ignite). If it work - mb fire pen can work too. Need more tests with killing 1 static boss.

Yeah, the wording is unclear to me. According to my tests it boosts the damage significantly, so maybe the damage part of the gem still applies to non-hits. I don't know.

I'll run another test with Chace to ignite to confirm my result. I'll try fire pen as well lul

Edit: Fire pen not working (as we expected). Chance to ignite same result as before: it buffs damage.

Good stuff guys. Seems like there are hidden tags. Even thou it indicates hit the second part of the support shows supported fire skills.
