New Rathpith Globe if it makes it into 3.7 as is, is best in slot.

Over 6 million DPS per spectre is not hard with the shield on Necro Aegis :o

Just have to go for minion life over minion damage, more life regen and leech, and spec into crit multiplier. Frost sentinels will have 100% chance to crit and with huge hit damage may even perma freeze shaper and co :P

Since the spectres will loose 4% life per cast, I think Fire Eaters won't work as they will be loosing 40% life at least per second.

Some of the higher life spectres in incursion areas become even better

I actually got my cannibal fire eaters on a T1 map. Any map that has a beach type environment can spawn them. Don't wait to see them, just desecrate away and one will pop. You definitely don't need to wait until you get to Shore.

Pet builds are laziest them all o) You only need to use your phase run and drink your flasks (quicksilver). You can also check Spider Bros Arakaali's Fang Necromancer build, but some ppl has some troubles (re)summoning spiders, but I did 36 in Synthesis with it. Spiders has lower DPS cap and less screen coverage comparing to even clear speed variant of this build, so I am here.

Not sure how this will affect the Occultist version of the build, but it does not seem good. At all. Lower ES and the regen will take a hit with Wicked Ward being changed.

There were two main advantages to using an Occultist instead of a Necro.

1. Profane Bloom: massive increase to clear speed.
2. Big eHP (possible 11k ES) & Vile Bastion proc'ing off minion kills.

In 3.7, GGG has taken Wicked Ward out of the ascendacy and nerfed it, nerfed Vile Bastion (no flat ES) & nerfed all ES nodes on passive tree. The message is pretty clear.

So I think the Occultist is pretty much a dead end now unless you really want the clear speed from Profane Bloom.

On page 149, @baca667 pointed out that Fire-Eaters were shown in Act 1 in the dev demo on Baeclast 40!

In the baeclast we can see fire-eaters in act 1. Do you think fire-eaters will be better for lvling than flame sentinels/prayer guard/solar guards?

Hopefully, this will carry over to release. Levelling with FEs is so much smoother and easier than with Sentinels.

To be honest, I doubt that the build will be good. The vitality of a class without an immortal call will be close to zero.
