Energy Shield - how to activate?

Hello. I'm new to the game and I'm witch lvl 48. At the first lvls, I had a energy shield. But now I don't and I want to know what must be done to activate it. Googled and couldn't find...

My stats show that I have 231 of energy shield but graphically I can't see it, nor sense some protection before my life is consumed.

I'm using Twizel wand and a magic robe "vestimenta do magista sanguinária da vibração" (my game is in pt-Br and I dunno the translation).

Would you post a screenshot? If any of your armor has ES you should have ES on your character unless you clicked an ability in your passive tree which transfers ES to something else.

I recommend to search the forum for a build guide to follow that use energy shield when u are new. Its maybe the best way to get it how it works and what u need for it.
