How to do more damage

Hi guys, I'm a new poe player. Recently I have had a problem with doing more damage, I'm following a guide for the build but my boneshatter dps is only around 32k. I can do map tier 9 but it's hard to kill rare monsters and bosses. What should I do to fix the issue? Thanks!
