I'm not able to find the relevant discussion of MoM using the search bar. Can someone point me to that or summarize what's needed to utilize effectively?
Also for whatever brave soul that takes the next iteration of the guide I really like the idea of breaking out different modular pieces. If that is done can we explicitly list key synergies and anti-synergies (skills, passives, gear). Sometimes it is difficult to tease out why certain choices were made, and this would help us more effectively mix and match (while we get up to speed on all the mechanics and nuances of POE)
MoM utilizes your mana as a buffer for your health bar basically. 30% of damage you take is taken from Mana before it's taken from your health. To effectively utilize it you need a few things:
1. An unreserved effective mana pool that is roughly 40% of your health pool
2. A means to regenerate mana quickly and efficiently
3. No large reservations of your mana pool for auras
4. An Enduring mana flask is recommended
The base layout of this build takes a number of mana nodes to make effective use of this keystone including Arcane Will, Deep Thoughts, and Righteous Decree among others. It also utilizes the Bubbling Mana flask that I talked about above.
Ghazzy made a pretty nice MoM effective utilization calculator here:
You can make your own copy of it and set the settings to match these:
Obviously replace the life, mana, and ES with your own values. That will tell you if you're making effective use of MoM and how much more mana you should get if you need it.
Thank you! Particularly #1 and the skill discussion was not something that came up in my quick searches

Where are you getting the version of the spreadsheet with those options on the right-hand side? The link just takes me to the very old version that assumes MoM + EB. Are you using EB? If not then that value for eHP against lightning is wrong, you're short 643 mana from being effective and your ES needs adding ontop to give you 10714 eHP in total against elemental.
EDIT: Found the updated version but again its set up to assume EB so is likely to trap people into making bad decisions by assuming they have too much mana.

But why would they want to "trap" people? Only thing I can think of is to effect the economy but even then hard to imagine that would be that useful past the league this was made in.
To be honest I just want to get rid of MoM al together, for now it does gives me a lot more eHP that I can get without it. So I guess I'm trapped until I can find other ways to get more eHP.
I haven't been able to get past lvl 93 in like two weeks. I keep dying and losing it all. Doryani at least in my case didn't work that well. I died too much with it. I feel like I die less with just MoM and less HP. With Doryani you end up with less mana/less HP but it makes MoM 50% less effective, and the shield is also less effective due to half the damage going through it.

I meant unintentionally trap people by them misinterpreting it rather than it being maliciously designed that way.
I did some ingame testing to double check I wasn't mistaking how Corrupted Soul works. You always have higher eHP with it than without. The 50% bypass isn't the same as making MoM 50% less effective and doesn't make your ES any less effective.
Using my own numbers I have 4868 HP, 2340 Mana and 2078 ES with Corrupted Soul. With MoM I have 6954 eHP. If I take a 9k hit then 50% goes straight to eHP, and 50% goes to ES first, then eHP. The 4.5k that goes to ES reduces down to 2422 which gets added onto the 4.5k that went straight through for a hit to eHP of 6922 so I live with just 32 eHP left.
Meanwhile if I don't have corrupted soul I have the same MoM eHP of 6954 but only 762 ES. If I take a 9k hit it goes through ES first then eHP but I end up at -1284 so am very dead. Taking corrupted soul gives me 1.3k more overall eHP. If the incoming hit was double my MoM eHP - so ~ 14k then corrupted soul does mean that even with a million ES I'd die. This doesn't make us more squishy though, it just puts a maximum cap of useful ES when using corrupted blood. Good luck getting to 7k ES with a 7k MoM eHP pool though.
This applies to one-shots. Its way harder to figure out how it affects dying to many small hits because then it depends on the rate and size of incoming hits against delay and interrupt of ES recharge compared to life + mana regen. It's the 1-shots that normally feel worse though and numbers-wise I cant see any reason for corrupted soul making these worse.

Anyone can tell me why is the bests enchants for this build in Gloves and Boots? I have that
But because the essence worm my aspect reserved much mana and i lost my other life ring and need mana... (MOM)
How does Impale compare when you socket it in?
Is it worth it? Is the increase/decrease big?
My per skeleton DPS with Summon Skeletons > Feeding Frenzy > Minion Damage > Melee Phys > Brutality > Multistrike
My per skeleton DPS swapping Feeding Frenzy out for Impale
My per skeleton DPS with Impale and Dread Banner as well as Generosity slotted
I dont know where those numbers come from and how you are getting it unless generosity, enhance and pride are adding 100k damage and your animate guardian. My gear has more + levels and minion damage then yours and im only around 120k per skeleton so either yours is including a lot of damage mine isnt or ive built it all wrong.
