I'm using Charged Dash on the ps4. The skill itself works great with a controller, but the zombies man... they are really stupid.
I like to run in circles with CD, so I can teleport in a pack, and the zombies just run around (probably following my targeting) and not hitting the enemies. They also don't attack enemies that are actually hitting me - just standing around, minding their own business... Are there any tricks to make them do what I want? Boss fights are pretty relaxed though :) Easily one-phasing them with the amount of damage zombies + skeletons dish out (using multistrike instead of melee phys for skeletons which seems to work). |

":) Zombies are dumb. The best way to guide them is: They follow other minion attacks. So your zombies will start hitting mobs that your skeletons are hitting. They follow your attacks...most of the time. Charged Dash is an Attack and can miss it's target. We put no nodes on the tree to accuracy and I believe our hit chance is just under 50%. But sometimes zombies still don't hit the enemy that's whispering in your ear even if you're Hitting the enemy. The only quick way I've found to remedy that is to simply move my character a little and then re-attack. Then it wakes the zombies up. Thanks a ton for the build guide, Wrecker! Quick question - do we no longer need Melee Splash for clearing? Do the melee changes really impact the base hits so each hit can splash to other targets without the splash gem?

"Hey Mooginator, I love how big your posts are because of your support :). (Thanks for keeping GGG going!) I've never been one to Min/Max clear speed or gem swap for a boss, but I get as impatient as everyone else if the clear speed is painstakingly slow. That being said I've never included Melee Splash with my Zombies. If you have 2 Violent Dead Jewels you'll reduce the Zombie Slam from 2.5 seconds to 1.25 seconds. If you have the "minimum" 10 zombies, you'll have Zombie Slams going off "all the time". If I was doing SRS or just solo skeletons I'd likely include Splash but I have never felt the need for it with Zombies. That's a personal preference though. Add whatever you like. I haven't heard anything from GGG if Minions were included in the re-balance of melee. Great question and thanks for the thanks! " I can confirm Skeletons do NOT have melee splash effect on their attacks (so they did not get the splash hit effect that characters got), but I completely understand RE: the "Zoombies" :) BTW how far have you taken this build? (curious - from a content perspective) All that and a bag of chips!

" "Everything except Hall of Grandmasters and Uber Elder. The Atlas is pretty easy with this build. But the only reason I haven't done Uber Elder is because the fight is too busy. I doubt I'll ever be able to do it. My brain shuts down with so much going on. The build could do it though. Those battles are more about endurance than anything. I think the main issue currently is still the zombie AI, it is incredibly dumb, and tends to leash to you so you can't really move too far.
It would really help the build if zombies would be more aggressive |
