I started playing 4 days ago, but only by reading a few pages I'll try to answer.

This build was never built around Shotgun, because the first shot of TS never had that effect. The second shots (the ones after the tornado), they can hit the same target because that's not considered Shotgun.

The changes to shotgunning had no impact on bow skills, because they already weren't able to shotgun. So technically TS is still the same as it was as in 1.3. It has even got an indirect buff due to the 'less damage' multiplier in GMP being lowered.

Level up, and follow the build guide. TS has insane damage potential, but initial levelling can be tough. Brotip: use Death's Harp bow for leveling! You can use that bow all the way to lvl 60-70 if you like.

Since the patch I've died more in a few days thanI have in weeks... very frustrating. Even with the defensive heavy spec I lost nearly 500hp and resist cap, with no real way of making it up without a complete gear overhaul. I was 93% into 92 and now I'm around 37%, makes me want to put a fist through the wall.

How viable is this spec for Uber in 2.0?

You need good life rolls on almost every item.

I'm ~3.6k at 71 with life on everything but my bow and 1 ring:

I paid 1ex for the bow; all my other gear is currently self found.

For completeness: with blood range, my elemental and 9 charges up I do ~5.7k tooltip DPS.

No it was changed. You will lose your endurance charges to onslaught. Unless you have some neat trick.

Double check the folder and make sure it didn't get named neversink.filter.txt. That's what happened the first time I created one. Windows automatically appended the file with .txt even though I named it .filter. Deleted the .txt and it was fine.

Hey I scrolld the last few pages didn't find any info and don't know if I would if I keep scrolling past. How are you supposed to afford running auras and stuff with the reduced mana not affecting it anymore? I tried to run hatred and HoA but I get 3 TS off before I run out of mana :/

A decent amount of damage and mana leech. Running a 4 link I started only needing mana pots in longer fights at around 1.5-2k tooltip DPS and 0.8% mana leech. Until then I was guzzling my blue pot almost as hard as my red ones.

Before the patch I was very strong, after the patch, I can barely beat Dominus in Merciless even though I'm level 83. :(........ I used the aggressive passive tree on level one that was recently updated.....Well, time to start over...This use to be an absolutely amazing build, but now there are builds that I"m finding are better......... Big thanks to Neversink though for putting it together. The patch didn't break the build, but it definitely make it weaker based upon how much health I'm losing in fights now, even though I didn't downgrade one piece of gear.
