[3.0] NeverSink's ♣ INDEPTH Tornado&Archer Guide ♣ Beginner friendly ♣ Rapid clear ♣ All bosses

I think I have finally hit the first real landmark with my ranger. From now on I expect nothing to come easy or cheap. So I'm again here to look for guidance and encouragement.

I have 15k tooltip with golem up, 3.4k life with max res and some amount of quality gems.

Here is where I am now:

Obviously the biggest glare is a 6link. What would you recommend be a good wya to get one? Wait till standard comes over and save currency till that? Or are the 6link body armours gonna be cheaper when people will try to escape the collapsing economy?

Running all the uniques I'm also in a big war to max my res. I only accept high life rolls at this point with minimum of no loss of damage. Should I plan ahead how to distribute the resistances between my slots? Currently I'm using my amulet to counterbalance my horrible diamond ring, this is costing me a lot of life.

tl;dr I got my shit, but it's only a start. do I go for 6link before warbands ends, how do I fix my shitty jewellery while gaining more life+max res?

Good build but EXTREMELY squishy. 76 level (even 75 orchard) map bosses one shot me easy (capped resistances 3700 life).

Virtually impossible to level up higher than level 80. Takes a lot of skill to play.

Clearing speed is decent. However, having bought drillneck (2ex), 6L lioneye's glate (7 ex), rat's nest (2ex), maligaro's (2 ex), high phys doryani (1 ex), 5L daresso's (1 ex) and good rings and amu (1 ex total), I would have expected more.

It's because you dont invest enough points and gear into life pool.
I have 6k life and 13.2% life regen (14.2% with +1 charge boots) with this build. And leveled up to 92 level with 74-75 maps. Died only two times while leveling from 91 to 92, and one of those 2 it was completely my own stupid fail (tried to kill Vilage Ruin bosses in wrong order).
And you dont need all that expensive crap you've listed (except Lioneye's Glare, because it isnt actually expensive).
Actually, if you dont aim for 6-link or +1 arrow quiver, you can get ANY slot (except Daresso's Defiance 5-link for 1 exa) for 15 chaos or less, and make a good endgame build.

Read what Neversink wrote in OP of the tread:
"Build, that doesnt invest enough into defences, fails".
You can put on tons of DPS uniques, learn tons of DPS nodes, but that wont be worth a shit when you'll die again and again...
Invest into defences, and you'll dominate Wraeclast. You can have enough DPS anyway.

I play Duelist, but adapted to Ranger, my build will be even better.

6K Life is very nice actually

I might need to respec some more Life as I am sitting on 5.2K atm (but can be fixed with a better Amulet and more optimized life rolls).

Still feels pretty comfortable in the 80-81 map range though.

Yeah, it is. And i still have formidable DPS - 40k TS DPS tooltip under all charges. I even run most maps with Item Rarity in 6-th gem slot, because DPS is high enough anyway.

Also, i can run ANY map mods. Even physical reflect (if it isnt coupled with no regen mod).

Hate to ask, but could someone give me some Bow advice? I'm still fairly new and don't have a lot of orbs to throw around yet.

I've been using this bow since level 71:

339.57 Phys DPS. picked it up cheap.

Will switching to one of the cheapest available Harbingers (Warbands) really make a marked difference in my DPS or clear speeds?

http://poe.trade/search/iyakaurikagoka for 325+ Pdps, 8.5+ crit Harbingers start at 6 Ex.

Best I can tell, there's 1-2% more crit over my own bow, but I don't see that as game-changing.

My gear:

Don't mind the gloves. I was working on trying to 4R them last night.

Hatred + Golem + HoA Shot Stats:

Defenses:

So, should I grab the first Harbinger I can, or should I hold off until I have 15-20 EX to throw around?

I really do appreciate any help you guys can provide. Oh, and Neversink, amazing guide. You made the leveling process painless.

Base crit chance on weapon is actually game-changing. It's base value, all modifiers that will increase your critical strike chance (all your nodes, items, power charges, etc), all will be based upon that "base" critical strike chance.

A fast math:
Your bow has 6.82% critical strike chance. A decent Harbinger will have 8.5%. As a result, with decent Harbinger, your critical strike chance will be 8.5/6.82 = 1.246 times higher. You can consider it being 24.6% MORE DPS. It's actually a bit lower, but critical strike chance itself provides not only DPS, but a lot of other useful things, to even odds.

Thanks so much. I'd read up on this sort of stuff, but it never really sunk in until you just fast mathed it for me. I'm really grateful. I'll start building up my funds immediately.
Hey, not sure what to upgrade next between rings/amulet/belt/gloves - everything will be kinda expensive since these pieces will need a lot of resistance/dps.
I'm using LA, reminds me of my javazon.

Yes, changing one, will have to change all pieces at the same time to keep capped res haha.
Was using Snakebite as gloves, and a nice helm with 80 hp and res, got a rat's, had to put the snakebite away and use a glove with resists.

What do you suggest?
Get a glove with more HP/res/AS, or change all jewel to not need defensive gloves?

What about a lightning doryani's? is that 10% chance to shock during flasks as good as it looks?
