[3.0] NeverSink's ♣ INDEPTH Tornado&Archer Guide ♣ Beginner friendly ♣ Rapid clear ♣ All bosses
" tbh, this question was already answered many times in that thread. Your best bet would be a signal fire (corrupted if you want to save money) for elemental (conversion) builds and drillneck for phys. |

" Alright thanks and sorry. I am new and now doing maps and farming dried lakes merci. JUst looking for some more DPS and res on points. Not trying to be annoying. |
|
" Legacy Reach of the Council -One free socket since we don't need GMP -Since we don't GMP we avoid its damage reduction. " You can't use Hatred and grace for obvious reasons. Hatred+ HoA(HoT,HoI) Endgame harbinger is around 380+ DPS, the more the better ofc |
|
" By using Hatred+Grace you are reserving 100% of your mana. However - as Neversink pointed out in the OP, there are ways around that [which almost always include reduced mana reservation]. - lvl 3+ enlighten: 0.92x or 0.88x mana reserved multiplier to the linked aura gems. - charisma cluster - a unique jewel + another reduced mana res. node - essence worm ring the option with least downsides would be lvl 3 enlighten - it's up to you to decide, whether spending some currency on it is worth it or not for your particular setup. |

Hi!
I just started playing yesterday. This is my very first character and I saw this build was beginner friendly. I'm currently level 14, but I'm just wondering which path do I take when the road splits in the southeast of this passive tree? I'm to the point where I just filled in the dexterity node and splits in two. Default Life Skilltree Do I continue Southwest or do I continue east? Thanks! I'm just little overwhelmed with all the information as a total noob to his game. |

" Say what now? Lifesprigs? I understand that some builds don't really achieve their end game viability until they reach a certain minimum level. For those I can understand doing something radically different than what you intend your end game play to be. But .... I don't really understand why you'd level a Bow Ranger as anything but a Bow Ranger. Neversink intended the build to be functional with a variety of attacks, the most basic of which is Split Arrow. You can use Split Arrow as early as level 2. I really don't grasp why you'd purposefully chose to level with a weapon/skill-gem combo that sounds better suited to a high INT character (like a Witch), when there are more optimal, DEX friendly skill available. I mean ... sure, use what you've got and all ... but ... Lifesprigs? Freeze Pulse+Spark? Really? I'd rather use a Physical Damage bow and Split Arrow+Added Cold Damage (until I could actually equip some of the higher level support gems). And if you're actually spending currency, then why not just buy a leveling Bow, there are some decent ones that aren't too expensive. To each their own I suppose... but it still seems like a weird choice to me. 'A Balrog,' muttered Gandalf. 'Now I understand.' He faltered and leaned heavily on his staff. 'What an evil fortune! And I am already weary.'

" Personally, I'd suggest something like this for the early leveling period:

I also intentionally take Quickstep early on, because mobility is important to me, both defensively and as a tool for working my way through maps and zones quickly. I also avoid taking any more than the minimum number of nodes to reach Thick Skin. Those two extra 4% life nodes don't seem worth it to me, I'd rather put those two extra points into the extra minor nodes up around Revenge of the Hunted (later on). The extra life isn't that useful during Normal, you do need life eventually, but not early on. 'A Balrog,' muttered Gandalf. 'Now I understand.' He faltered and leaned heavily on his staff. " Working on leveling enlightment now. It seems to take forever. I just found an ex( My first in 2 weeks) so I should have bought a lvl 3.But yeah, I'm working on that. Just need better armor because mine is bad but working good enough for now. |
|
" Well - ofc you can use split arrow/burning arrow - if you so wish. For me freeze pulse/spark felt smoother and more familiar(because its similar to caster leveling (-firetrap). And it's a pretty common thing to level with a different skill/setup than the endgame one. So leveling with something else (for max. one (!) act) doesn't really make or break the build imo. P.S. You don't run out of requirements for those skills till lvl 9 / or act 1 with lvling gear. The only thing which matters is if your dmgnodes match the skill tag ('projectile, spell, cold/lightning'). And they do ('projectile'). |

Where in the world do you guys get chaos resistance from? None of the OP's linked equipment has it and I am in merciless with like -60%. It's not like a ton of monsters have it, but I tried the Cruel level ascendancy dungeon last night and the boss one shots me because of it. I mean, he just thinks about using chaos on me and I die. Like wtf?
I'm searching poe trade and it seems hard to find gear with any decent level of chaos resist while at the same time trying to keep the other 3 resists high. |
