Just a heads up - you can't have staff with "+3 to all lightning gems" and "+2 to all support gems" in a same time, they are mutually exclusive. Learned it a hard way.

Though "+2 to all spell gems" and "+2 to all support gems" will work fine.

Oh snap, thanks! I’ve used it with +1 all socketed gems mod on swords. It didn’t even occur to me to check if other gem mods fell into the same mod pool. You’d think I’d be smarter by now...glad to learn from someone else’s mistakes for once! Thanks again!

Gear/Mana question: What should one do with extra unreserved mana?

I got the following recommended suffix on an amulet: "Wrath/Zealotry has #% reduced Mana Reservation C".

Now I have 224 unreserved mana after Zeal, Disc, and FaS. Is there a way to utilize this mana, or is it already helping me somehow?

I'm sorry if this has been asked / answered before, I did look but couldn't see anything on it.

TL;DR. 1) Elemental Overload is included in mechanics section, but not in PoB. Not sure which is right? 2) Lvl 50+ I have no mana after activating Zealotry. How do I manage mana without Eldritch Battery?

First, I am a complete beginner following your guide to the letter as much as possible. For the most part I am really enjoying it but there are a few things that are confusing me.

In the guide you say that we make use of elemental overload early on to increase damage until crit multipliers start stacking up later on. I noticed that the current PoB build doesn't include Elemental Overload BUT the different passive paths you link for the different acts DO include it. There are a couple of areas like this (such as PoB saying to take Arcane Focus but act passive goals showing Arcane Will). I've tended to stick with your PoB, ingoring the passive goals / act but the fact you mention Elemental Overload in the mechanics has got me wondering whether this was correct to your build or not?

Second question is more about gameplay, I'm lvl 50 now just coming in on Act 7 and I've found that with 'Zealotry' and 'Flesh and Stone' active, my mana pool is incredibly limited and I run out of mana very quickly as I enter a longer fight, it feels a bit bad and I'm wondering if I've done something wrong. Activating clarity reduces my usable mana pool to zero and I can't case Arc at all so it's either or for me at the moment whilst spamming mana pots while they last. How do you deal with this?

1) Ele overload is for leveling. You respec out of it once you start scaling crit multi.

2) You need eldritch battery, period. Leveling with clarity lvl5 instead of discipline works to a point, but EB is the answer.

Thanks Hicktricks, this makes sense. The thing I'm confused with is that Eldritch Battery isn't recommended in the act by act passive tree guide until much later on. I'll probably start making a beeline for it now then.

Yes it is and it's really easy to play this build as all is explain, just take care when you switch to [eldritch battery + mind over matter] + discipline. You need an equipment for them like 3k HP.
Before you got these, don't take them and play with clarity aura.
Do not forget your elemental resistance (always 75%)

Hey, first of all, thanks for the build, i'm having a blast!

Question though. I've been playing with the build as intended so far but I've realized that at least for my current setup (lvl 80, still on 4 links doing tier -5 maps), zealots oath doesn't seem to make much sense to me. Zealots oath seems odd since with my current items that don't even have any ES regen on them and I always have enough ES regen without those nodes.

What am I missing and why is this included in the build even though the life regen seems so much better right now?

Just hited level 90 with this build, the gear is nothing special but do the job, T15 so far and smooth, still missing some stuff, good build.
