Ugh. Three times now I've lost to Sirus. I need some help folks. I generally understand the mechanic, but I keep dying on the third phase. Just can't keep it together to kill him, although he was nearly dead this time. I'm working on crafting a Bone Helmet and a pair of boots, but given my numbers in PoB, I thought I was already at the right numbers to beat him.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have about 4-5 ex saved up.

Can't check PoB at work, but what's your mana pool like? From your gear, it looks like there's lots of room for improvement there, which is good defensively and offensively. For sure you should get Atziri's Foible to 20% quality, that's just a straight upgrade. But your wand, gloves, and belt each could use another 50+ mana on them. Also, Culling Strike seems like a must in this fight.

That said, don't feel too bad...I am also struggling with A8 Sirus WAY more than I should be. The ground degen effects are brutal, and he can be a bitch to hunt down and deal damage to in the last phase. I'd also be curious if anyone here has any specific tactics for this fight.

I have 7.2k mana, so I'm not terribly worried about fixing the mana on the wand, gloves, and belt yet, but it's on my list. Yeah, I need to upgrade the amulet. I was working that organically, but I can purchase the Quality for that. That's 1 ex down....

And like I said, working on the helmet and boots right now.

So this is just me, but I think your first priority should be aiming for 10k mana. That alone would give you like another 500 life recovery/second via Agnostic and increase your damage by at least 30% more. Spend the ex on amulet quality (yes the price tag sucks but the upgrade is forever). Allocate mind drinker if you can't get mana flows. (Even get lvl 21 Vaal Arc!) Get 2x Scintillating Idea. Those are a few ideas, but the overall point is that mana pool is of supreme importance. Mana cost scales directly with that and is extremely important for damage because of Archmage.

That's probably not much help. I've been trying to compare your PoB to mine, and I can't see what else would be making the DPS difference. Maybe you can see something if you look at your calcs compared to mine? https://pastebin.com/RqjKsmh0

(I am not advocating for all my decisions in the build, but you can't argue with the DPS!)

I have roughly 25 ex to spend or try to craft towards something. I've made majority of my gear so far. Working on a shield atm with % mana on block and t1 mana. Also have a weapon that im working on, similar to the one im wearing, but with higher mana. Harvest crafting casters are not being nice to me though lol

Any advice is appreciated

Currently have 4k life/7.8k mana, but my mana sustains RF passively. Any suggestions on how to improve my mana?

Nice job! Looks like you're doing very well for a relative newcomer and are on track to do even better.

First, how's your spell crit chance? Are you able to maintain Elemental Overload consistently?

Next, definitely get a wand with at least +140 mana. That will make a big overall difference. Here's an example of a search I used to find one (tweak it however you like, obviously): https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Harvest/8l3G3QvhV

I'd go for a Rumi's Concoction over the regular granite flask, upgrade your belt to a nice Stygian Vise with mana/life abyssal jewel, get max quality on your amulet, and run Uber lab until you get the mana regen enchantment on your boots.

Your gear is generally solid, but there's definitely a lot of room to upgrade life/mana/resistances on pretty much all your rare gear so you can fit in more damage affixes on your gloves/shield/ring.

I'm impressed.

Yes, agreed--just to clarify, you want a wand or scepter or rune dagger, not technically a staff.

I got lucky with a Crusader slam on mine today!

Not incredible, but not too shabby, either. Finally puts my hideout standstill tooltip DPS above 500k and effective sDPS above 8m in PoB (9m with flasks). I can post a link later, if anyone's interested.

I've used Inpulsa's in previous leagues on other Arc builds and had great fun. For Enki's updated 3.11 guide, is a 6-linked Inpulsa's viable? I played around now with a 5-link but it feels a bit weak - I'm interested in your thoughts before investing 1500+ fusing =)

I realize the build is not designed around shock, but at least it's possbile to shock when not using The Three Dragons.
