Testing in Standard is going very well, facetanked the majority of all bosses up to T14s with ease.
Couldn't test any T15+ yet due to lack of maps, but i can see atleast Kaom, Malachai, Hydra and Phoenix being fairly easy for this build.

The new version definitely feels stronger, thanks to whoever suggested Blasphemy Enfeeble and Mastermind of Discord (sorry i forgot who it was).
If you wanna have a sneak peak about what's to come, my character tab is public.
But please keep in mind that this isn't the final version yet, things are still subject to change.

Is this build Shaper viable?

@TwoZeroThree: Not without heavily changing the setup. This is a very mapping-oriented setup, if you want to farm/kill specific bosses there's better builds to do that.

I don't think Arc has enough damage to do Shaper without being one of the best of the best, Guardians are already tough as hell. This build is better at cruise control clearing maps, you can click anywhere on the screen and your Arc will happily auto target the nearest mob and go on a chaining kill spree from there, if you use Facebreakers you get to watch everything explode in a flash of gore and then shatter into pieces from being frozen. I personally find it a very relaxing and fun map clearer.

It's like Diablo II chain-lightning sorceress on lazy auto aim mode! :D

Also being Shaper viable while this is largely the build, it does require good movement and knowledge of the fight. I've seen PLENTY of people running viable build absolutely screw the fight up :D

No, you need hp instead ES.

@tMShubar; that helm is great if you are running ES instead of life, why do you link that one in particular, due to the high ES and popularity of ES and Blade Vortex I imagine it's fairly expensive!

@evantas1a; There might be a few area's that you can find some upgrades in your gear, even before I switched to Dual Void batteries (not an option unless you've got 8ex to spare) I was mauling T10-T11 bosses fairly quickly. Are you running a 6L chest? If not this is the area to aim for an upgrade :)

Hey there.

Returning witch after a long hiatus and after some deliberation (and community tips) I decided to follow the guidelines Whaitiri set before us. Bring back good memories!

Full respec available on two Witches (lvls 83 and 77 respectively). Resources on the low end (despite my lvl unfortunately..) and not too amazing gear.

Please have a look at my equipment and feel free to comment on what upgrades I should be aiming for firstly.



Was already tipped to ditch the chest piece. Considering my lowish(low?) budget (3 EX + 18 Chaos) any further advice would be most welcome.

Yes 100% that chest needs to change, you want a 6L chest that also has HP, you should be able to find something for 40c that will do the job, this way you can add the empower gem to your setup which gives good dps gains, and the red slot can be swapped for life leech on hard maps.

As important as your chest is to change you need to change those wands, they are all massively sub optimal. You need adds x to x lightning damage to spells and then crit chance then cast speed then crit multi. You'll probably only be able to afford 3 of these mods on a single wand as they can be expensive.

Lastly ditch The Three Dragons helm and purchase Call of the Brotherhood ring, this will be a significant change to your ability to clear maps as you'll be freezing enemies when you crit.

Ohhh and also all those amulets are bad, get a citrine amulet with +70 or more life on it and a few resists as well.

Also Doriyani's belt probably needs to go for a leather belt with high hp on it for a total of +120ish life.

Looking at your gear I'm afraid to ask, but I guess I need to, what is your total life right now? You should be aiming for 4,500+ hp by the high 80's even with budget gear.
