if you replace arc with vaal arc what do you use to gain charges?

@xewp The vaal gems now provide 2 attacks: the normal one AND the vaal one (all in one gem); so you can use the "normal" Arc skill as usual, but have the vaal version too and can use it, when you need extra damage (e.g. in boss fights)

Enki - right so i started your build and as always no matter how many builds i try i end i with shit luck in this game, got so far then died and it's mostly due to pure crap that drops, nothing decent or worthwhile drops, the incursion loot it diabolically shit and useless, but anyhoo rant over.

i ended up starting the tri herald build but levelled with arc now my question is i've taken Alira and gone a slightly different way on the tree so is it still possible to do your build with the way i have gone?

my characters are public so please feel free to look and advise.

@Kryshlom: Catalyst is overall better, but you won't be able to use Shield Charge when dualwielding.

@arteriny: They're pretty useless for this build.

@ToxicXfi: The few points that are off could be changed with free respec points you get through quests. You can also change the bandit choice, but it's pretty expensive and since you're still relatively low level, i'd just recommend to start a new char.

Edit: Or maybe i've misunderstood your question and you wanted to know if you can follow my progression and level with Arc, but then go with the Herald build in endgame? If so, it should be possible.

Thanks for answer! And else: what if i choose Leap Slam instead Shield Charge? Do you know dual wielding grants 10% MORE attack speed? Also you can jump :)

About shocking.

How often, how and for how much dps increase we can shock endgame bosses? (shaper, elder, atziri etc)

@Kryshlom: Yeah I know, but at best that only makes up for the difference in base attack time of both skills (1.0s Shield Charge, 1.4s Leap Slam). However if you wanna run it like that I can't stop you.

@kwstas778: We shock pretty consistently due to a good amount of shock chance from Arc and passives and the Shocking Conflux whenever it's up. We always shock for atleast 20% thanks to Beacon of Ruin. together with the ~85% shock effect this build has that requires a hit that deals atleast 0.115% of the enemies max life, and the shocks last for 3.2s due to 60% increased shock duration. All this can even be improved further with certain items and affixes.

If you look at the Shaper and Uber Atziri videos you can see that i'm able to shock both.
