What feels low? Your barrage, or Ice Shot?

According to PoB you have about 1.7m Shaper dps, which is pretty substantial.
Thing of note though, your resistances are not properly balanced for wise oak flask. Your fire res is much higher than the rest.

Also please quality your Chin Sol ;-)

1.7m really? Wow I probably have no idea how to use PoB then.

Mainly my barrage feels low, I think? Maybe I'm just expecting too much because it takes me longer than I'd hoped for to kill the boss of Shaped Spider Forest.

How do I balance out my resistances properly, since using dying sun increases my fire resistance by 50%? But as a raider, I don't have it up all the time too. How do you go about balancing your resistances?

Anyways, what else can I do to improve(besides my 0 quality Chin Sol :D)?

Just make sure your fire res is at least 50% lower than ur cold. That's what I did. I'm at 49 fire res without flasks, and 114% cold res.

My advise would be to lvl up, and get all your gems to at least 20/20. Feel free to look at my char, and compare gear.

Also, I recorded a Minotaur run of my Ice Shot/Barrage character which currently is lvl 97 with 5.07m Shaped dps. Just in case anyone is interested. 3 sec to kill Minotaur isn't bad ;-)

Yes, I do. Here's my updated PoB link with my new +1 arrow Chin Sol. Shaper dps is now at 6.15mil. So minotaur kill should be quite a bit faster than in above vid where I had 5.07mil:

What's is order in upgrading DPS? What should I look for first?

- Chin Sol in offhand for barrage, gives much higher dps than Death's Opus.
- +2 barrage helmet
- lvl up your character (also cheapest option)

Check, can you answere me why does chin sol gives me 300k less than a deaths opus?

You need to check "is enemy at close range" in config for the 100% more damage mod on chin sol to apoply.

Got really lucky with the +1 arrow corruption. Net result is just over 400k Shaper dps increase with that corruption.

Culling Strike is similar, since it instantly kills enemies at 10% health. I just prever the +1 Arrow, cuz it also allows you to leech more, and build up frenzy charges faster against bosses.

I'll get one for offhand barraging. Regarding helm enchant though, how much better is 2 more projectiles better than the other barrage enchants?

The +2 barrage enchant is a lot better. I lose over 1 million dps (6m to 5m, so about 18% dps) going from +2 projectiles to the attack speed or damage one.

Imo you should probably focus on lvling up and getting more life first. You have about 3.5k life, which will get you killed easily. Get life on ur ring/ammy and quiver.

I really don't like that Marylene's Fallacy. It provides no life, and lowers your crit chance. A lower crit chance means you will be freezing less, which is one of our most important defences.

Try and get a corrupted +1 frenzy ammy with life, like:



Cost me 2ex, and provides similar dmg. But has nice life, and no downside of lowering crit chance.

When you are going to put focus on dmg, get a +2 barrage helmet, and mods like attack speed, ele damage with attacks, projectile damage, elemental damage (opal rings)...etc...

Also, get a Chin Sol for offhand. Does a lot more dmg than Death Opus for barrage when ur at close range. For me it's 6.68m Shaper dps with Chin Sol versus 4.0m with Death Opus. So a big difference.
