There are only 2 ways - you have to be tanky enough to survive long enough or deal enough damage before dangerous stuff happens. In general you have to abuse every defense mechanic in the book, to the best of your ability. This isn't the first league people complain it's rippy - people say Invasion is probably even rippier. Regarding survivability I've mixed a little bit this build with the one who suggested to use Obliteration +Herald of Ash for mapping and then swapping for bosses or toughest encounters: since then I've died maybe twice. Kept all the auras suggested by Lahkesis but Zealotry and put in Herald of Ash with increased area of effect support gem and socketing in the helm with the +1 aoe gems/ 10% increased area of effect (I've the profile public if you want to get a look) While mapping a single Bane tap will literally explode packs in front of you (talking about t16 Awak lvl8 packs) . While bossing an Essence Drain every couple of seconds while just focusing on not get hit kiting around will take care of any boss (besides UE/Shaper/Sirus of course) in less than 10 seconds (even conquerors). I'm curious what's going on with the life based version of the tree, really confused. Why have you got MoM? You've got 105 unreserved mana at level 90... then at 100 you've ditched MoM and swapped to EB, while presumably reserving 100% of mana, which would make a lot more sense.
