My guess is he saw red circles which was in the search box which said "traps", that just means it's showing where all the trap nodes are.

Lightning Spire Trap looks way more reliable for single target than ball lightning (LST+TDMG+CLTRAPS+INCAOE). Using inc aoe can be a good choice since overlap mechanics of LST exists
