[3.13] GOLEMENTALIST (Flame Golems Elementalist) Build (Easy & Safe for everyone!) +Video guide!

You don't get it? ;)

Feeding frenzy is a buff on the player, it has absolutely nothing to do with the Feeding Frenzy Support gem, which amongst other things gives the supported minions a 25% chance to grant Feeding Frenzy to you.

Now, while you have Fedding Frenzy, ALL your minions (not just the directly supported ones) will gain 10% more damage and 15% increased action Speed, as indicated by the Feeding Frenzy status icon at the top of your screen.

Don'r believe me? Try the Wiki then:

"
Feeding Frenzy Support is a minion support skill gem. It changes the supported minion behaviour to be aggressive, causing them to prioritise seeking enemies and killing them. Supported minions have a chance to give the owner the Feeding Frenzy buff on hit, which grants a bonus to damage and speed to all friendly minions.

The skill function and interaction is explained too:

"
Minions supported by the skill will have 15-24% more damage. In addition, while you have the Feeding Frenzy buff all of your minions have 10% more minion damage, 15% increased movement speed, and 15% increased attack and cast speed. Minions supported by the skill will therefore get a total of 26.5-36.4% more damage.

The source referenced is none other than GGG's very own Rory (9/9/19).

P.S. Tooltip does nothing. Remove Minion Damage Support (49% more) and add Feeding Frenzy Support (24% in PoB. According to your belief, mominally you would expect to gain twice as much damage with MDS but you will find that the difference to FFS is fact much closer, about 25% more damage with MDS. Now, I mentioned MDS only to make the maths easier. Obviously You'd want to remove Controlled Destruction Support (44% more). Now with 15% increased cast Speed and 80% increased minion damage from the additional Harmony instead of the broken Primordial Might, the damage is pretty much on par again and we have aggressive golems back.

No no my friend, I do get it. As I stated at the outset, there is inconsistency with the gem description on the web and in game and the description you are referring to. In all cases, I have heard both tooltip and POB being incorrect at times. And again, it comes down to which info you believe, they will have to correct one. The info on the gem as written is very specific and does not align with the alternative description in any way shape or form. I hope that clears up your confusion, but I have my doubts.

Gem
Minions from Supported Skills have 25% chance to grant Feeding Frenzy to you on Hit
Minions from Supported Skills deal (15-24)% more Damage while you have Feeding Frenzy

I will add, that it is likely to behave as the web description and you describe, not what the gem/tooltip states. Just noting, they did indeed produce a bug with priomordial might so I don't know what is actual for this gem either in current state other than it does make aggressive and does generate a feeding frenzy buff.

Well, if you don't believe Rory Rackham, GGG's head of Balance & Design, then I really can't help it...

Here is what he posted on reddit two days ago:

"
Feeding Frenzy's reminder text: (Feeding Frenzy grants 10% more Minion Damage, 15% increased Minion Movement Speed and 15% increased Minion Attack and Cast Speed)

Obviously, since the Feeding Frenzy Support Gem and the Feeding Frenzy Buff on the player are two entirely different entities, one does not just add the 10% to the 24% from the support gem but applies them separately, making it an effective gain of 36.4% at lvl 20 or 37.5% at lvl 21.

As for Primordial Might being bugged, this can be remedied by equipping Feeding Frenzy while being in a map or Azurite Mine and then replace it again, Aggressive from Might should then stick ... until you have to summon your golems again, that is. Cumbersome, but at least at least a workaround for "ye of little faith" in Feeding Frenzy (the buff, not the support gem). :p

I did not read his Reddit but read that behavior from the site and noted the inconsistency between the 2 before I made the first post. If he posted that, then in fact they will correct the gem details and it's operating as you describe. I was never confused, just pointed out those inconsistencies. I'm glad it's working per the detailed description as that is significantly stronger than the alternative. Indeed, PM can likely be dropped in this case. Build continues to be stronger, still testing out some things in delve to see which config yields the best overall results. Deep delve is so much more viable now with 3.8 changes
Wouldn't hold my breath that GGG will ever spell it out on the gem for you though... GGG expect you to know what these buffs do. ;)

Like Rage Support... the gem reads "Supported Skills grant 1 Rage on Melee Hit" but nowhere on the gem does it say that you gain 1% increased attack damage, 0.5% increased attack speed, 0.2% increased movement speed per Rage. Or Fortify Support... simply says "Supported Skills grant Fortify on Melee hit" but doesn't say that you gain 20% damage reduction from hits while you have Fortify.

And yeah, the new tankiness of the Golementalist is just insane.

Meat shield golems seem both aggressive and defensive, which is nice. To see Stone and chaos golem behave somewhat intelligently is very very nice.
Every other support gem states the more damage info correctly. What FF states is flat out incorrect no matter how you look at it. Additionally, tooltips show the more damage correctly, I don't know a support that doesn't.

You only have Feeding Frenzy from the buff, the statement should end at more damage and optionally include another line item about the effects of the buff

Minions from Supported Skills have 25% chance to grant Feeding Frenzy to you on Hit

Minions from Supported Skills deal (15-24)% more Damage while you have Feeding Frenzy

Not true... Rage support does NOT tell you that you have up to 50% increased damage (which, among other goodies, you will get with the maximum possible number of Rages on you), says only that you get a Rage on hit but nowhere does the gem explain all the "mysterious" sh*t that comes with Rage. ;)

Wrong again... Feeding Frenzy IS the buff granted to you by Golems. Minions granting you something is not a buff, it's a property of the support gem.

This line is perfectly in sync with Rage Support, Fortify Support. etc.

It just says that your supported minions have a 25% chance to grant you the buff and nothing else, just like Rage Support says that you gain 1 Rage on Melee Hit without explainingg what you get with this Rage once you have it, or Fortify Support saying that you get Fortify on melee hit but not saying that you take 25% reduced damage while you have it.

Meat Shield Support for our dummy/support golems is pretty nice indeed. Not sure about the defensive/aggressive part since Primordial Might is currently not working. What I did notice, when I "direct" the golems with Arcs, it's only the flame golems going mad, the other three fellas doing their "meat shield" thing aand stay closer to me.

20% quality on it is also worth it, gives them another 5% physical damage reduction on top of the reduced damage taken.
