Not seeing an AI difference on meat shield...
I took Plague bringer and the aoe is pretty good on the SD's.
This is a really strong tanky economy option... The old glass canon days are over...

Does the increased Damage per Zombie even work for minions? Usually there needs to be explicitly stated that a effect works for minions. otherwise it is only for your own damage

The damage increase comes from Meatshield Support. As far as the increase per Zombie I have no clue how that works.

Thats a good point... Even without the Increased the 20% more makes it well worth the entry price.
Tanky wise... Its pretty nice. 20% taunt and the elemental reduction well worth having.
For 3ex?

I also ditched commander of darkness and went Bone Barrier. Ditched spec boots and and went spell dodge boots. Sacrifice on neck.
Have not had any issues with minion deaths on elemental mods.
I did find the spec /zombie killer mod. Poison. I'm really carefull now on poison mod maps...
Bosses I used to avoid are now a joke... We are tanked up.

Bone armor is so good it's ridiculous. The only time I've seen any minion health bar move was in an elemental reflect map (obviously the spectres died) and against a zana cortex boss (carrion golem went to half health). Haven't noticed much about the poison aspect but I'll keep my eye on it.

-- Does using the Wrath aura not count? If so, is this just an additional measure? Just curious - been wondering for a couple of days now!

When linked with generosity, the aura does not affect you in any way.
