thanks. i already had figure this out since it's the same for almost any elementalist build. what about the priority of mods on rares ?

On rare gear look for:
Life
Resistances
Mana
Armour / Evasion

Spell / elemental damage
Projectile / Area Damage
Cast Speed
Adds % Damage to spells

I'm having troubles with leveling this character on the totem path, (currently I have my magma orb linked to GMP) Do you have any recommendations, such as gem links for totem magma orbs or early leveling uniques that I can use?

I leveled as self cast magma orb but normally I would go with something like this:
Spell Totem > Magma Orb > Faster Casting > GMP / Slower Projectiles
Totems normally scale pretty good with cast speed.

What you think of using stormfire ring?
What about using a belly of the beast, loreweave or inpulsa?

Hi, new player here I'm trying out this build and really enjoying leveling with it. Currently while leveling I'm finding Fireball more useful for single target damage, but I only have Lesser Multiple Projectile Support on Magma orb - any leveling advice you can provide would be helpful.

My main question though is why does the build take the Elemental Overload node? I may not understand how the crit chance works with the additional projectiles, so please explain if you can. Also, it seems like the Sniper node in the Shadow area is a good one pick up as well, correct?
