What are you guys thinking after the Occultist nerfs?

Is Profane Bloom and a Free Curse worth it still?

Is Guardian or Trickster better now?

I think bigger problem is nerf to herald of agony.

I am also interested in what people think is the best class/ascendancy now for this build moving into 3.7 legion league.

Indeed, this build suffered quite a big nerf, both defensively and offensively. I think the build will still be strong, but there's no way to be sure before trying it out.

The two main changes I'd do to the build are the following : first, take Wicked Ward in the skill tree, and second take Void Beacon for -20% chaos res to nearby enemies, which will increase the damage of the crawler. Whether this damage increase will compensate the nerf to the crawler's damage, I cannot say, but it should ensure the build stays strong.

We have a lot of ES recharge, so it's still playable, but mapping will be less comfortable for sure... I'm not planning to play this build, but if anyone does, feel free to share your experience here, I'm interested :)

I simulated the nerfs before Legion by removing passives/skills/ES on gear until the regen and damage numbers aligned with the expected nerfs, as well as ES loss from Dense Fossils...and it was pretty awful feeling to map with.

Instead of confidently running face first into packs with 12k ES and a varying 2k-4.5k regen, it was 10k ES with 500 regen. The recharge rate also being hit by 17%, and suddenly the ES was going up too slow to be safe, even when you got it started.

Blightwell Amulet might be needed to fix that problem, I didn't feel like rearranging my stats to try it though.

The damage was still fine, taking perhaps an extra volley to kill beefy rares...but that was without the hp doubling. A rare that used to take 4 volleys might take 11 in Legion, which seems pretty rough, but every build will take more time as well.

I went Necro Duo/Agony/Spectre/Zombie for Legion starter instead. So far I'm thinking Necro is the better choice in maps after the changes, deeper delves are going to be rough though.

I'm not sure about the ES nerfs because i went champion instead this league, but the damage nerf is not a problem for me so far.

I'm sitting at around 1.1M shaper dps with cheap gear.
The % reservation helmets are pretty cheap this season so it is easy to get hatred on the build.

I have no trouble importing the PoB, maybe the problem is on your side? In any case, I had forgotten to update the tree for 3.7, so a new PoB is up, try to import it and see if it works; if it doesn't, maybe Google could help, but I can't. Sorry!
