" Well the golem is 1L and he's got minion life so he's got almost double life. I suppose he may have died in one of those tornado encounters in the mine. They do a lot of damage and can't be killed. That's basically the only time I've seen the golem's life reduced. Pretty strange that I didn't notice though. Ah I guess 2 ex is not that huge of a price. No more mine for him though. " So why you not use Triad Grip? and prefer for Shaper touch... Really now not undestand anything. Im just look for you charcter and try it to do like yours. But also undestand you words chaose more better then just high dps. Can you explain my why you not use Triad Grip. And also have a question why Haste more better then Pride in with Triad grip?If Pride give it nearby enemies take more physical dmg/ so with triad grip physical dmg convert to Chaos dmg for minions so that mean minion give it more damage with pride. OR i dont undestand something>? |

"Neither will hinder impale. Haste will give more clear speed, Pride more dps. |

"The damage difference isn’t that great between the two damage forms. Shaper’s Touch allows for some very good energy shield scaling. Triad Grip allows for any map mod to be run. The main reason it wasn’t always physical is because it took a rework to add impale in. |

" I just made a spreadsheet that computes the impale damage, depending on some input data. Maybe you or someone else will find it useful... https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1GDD_lwoxk6IQhX-RpD26YoAOMGFqx9qIWHTz6sT6S3s/edit?usp=sharing |

"Oh, that is nice. I cannot see the precise calculations, but I want to make sure you took a few things into account. - Quality on Dread Banner is synonymous with effect of non-curse aura, rounded down to the nearest whole percentage (i.e. 1% quality grants 0 effect, not .5). This will affect impale chance, impale effect, and less damage. - Quality on Impale Support is additive to increased impale effect. - Every stage of calculations round down to the nearest whole percentage. If calculations show 50.99% chance to hit the game calculates 50%. The same is true for effect. The raw damage will only round down to the nearest whole number which is inconsequential, so it can be expressed more accurately, but as you noted on the spreadsheet PoB will only calculate whole percentages. This means you need separate calculations for chance to impale and impale effect so that the rounded numbers can be calculated in the main calculation. |

Thank you for your feedback.
I think I'm doing everything as you say except for the rounding part. I didn't know the game worked that way, but I'll introduce those corrections in the spreadsheet as soon as I can, probably later tonight. Is there any special reason for you not being able to see the formulas? I thought everyone with the link would view them. |

"I’m on a tablet right now. I’ll probably be able to see more on a computer. The rounding is pretty much how the game calculates everything. Impale is still relatively new, and I doubt it’s ever actually been specified, but if you look at how GGG calculates everything else, it’s logical to assume impale functions the same way. Generally integers are always rounded down to the nearest shown number and does it for each applied source. For example the Guardian Ascendency Unwavering Faith gives .2% life regen per aura. If you have 5 aura, 1% total. If you have 5 auras and 30% life regeneration rate, it’s still 1% since it takes 50% for each individual source to go to .3%.
