Glancing blows would be equivalent to dropping to 37.5/37.5 in total damage taken even if it cost no points to get. Doesn't the 50% damage taken from blocked hits help? You can run zealotry / anger 15% reduced enchant with herald of ash on blood magic. Those are quite a bit cheaper.
