Is there are reason to use Awakened Spell Cascade in the 6 link for single target? I realize that it is a damage increase for mapping but does it help on bosses at all?
If you are not using +1 VD Enchant then you will get 1-3 extra VD balls per proc with it.

Thanks. Just to be certain: The reason for this is that we always get 12 corpses from Desecrate and Volatile Dead consumes 3(4 with enchant) corpses per cast. So regular Spell Cascade consumes 9(12) corpses while Awakened Spell Cascade consumes up to 15(20) corpses. Since we only get corpses from Desecrate on single target and those are capped at 12 per rotation, Awakened Spell Cascade only gives us map clear speed (if we have the enchant).

more or less. Woke Cascade is better than the enchant though. I'd rather have a different enchant and woke cascade.

And should I get a rare or mega jewel for this? seems like not all mega jewels cost an arm and a leg Also I want to keep my options open so maybe I'll mix it with one offense and defense skill. What should be the offensive skills I should get with my other medium jewel? my current medium jewel already has cremator and wrapped in flame

Since I am running a large overlord cluster for the extra jewel sockets instead of overlord mega, I am using a medium jewel with heraldry(exposure source) and agent of destruction in my main cluster tree, so it provides me an extra gem socket from dropping wave of conviction. Just an idea if you are looking to add even more utility to your CWDT loops. I socket in either flammability or ball lightning depending on if i am using +1 curse chest or inpulsa. Ball lightning can provide a solid amount of additional "hits" for sustain.

Buuuut it IS an option I'm looking at for a 2nd large tree.
Archdemon Helmet is an option for exposure if you slim down to a 4L CWDT

Be careful out there and check the jewel in PoB for Overlord placement before you buy because theres some weird rules going on with Overlord placement.
I checked every combination in PoB and the only way to get Overlord as the closest passive on the cluster is: in a 2 passive cluster with overlord/vicious skewering or on a 3 passive cluster with overlord/(Any prefix passive that is NOT Vicious skewering)/(Any suffix passive). All others Overlord is always in the back.

Yea they have dropped quite a bit in price. I just upgraded from that to overlord/martial prowess/weight advantage for 7ex, since I started using the second socket on it I didnt want the travel point to the socket to go the waste and martial prowess is nice because we lack sources of % accuracy. Weight advantage only combo that gives overlord/martial up front though.

does the phys damage even matter on the staff? Would the harvest enchant for elemental damage per quality be better?
