I never found it necessary! TBH I dont even use brand recall anymore.

I assume there is some awkwardness playing Storm Brand on Occultist before you get 2x Call of the Brotherhood to deal cold damage and take advantage of your ascendancy. Considering the rings were 80c last league start, it sounds like quite a grind. How does the build fare with just lightning damage very early in the league? Can you do yellow maps comfortably without CotB?

How dependent is the build on the cotb rings? Those can be pretty expensive at start. Can it usually run into yellows without those?

One question though: Why don't you use Herald of Ice in the endgame version? Isn't that half the reason we go cold conversion?
