Hopefully you mean Intensify and Increased AOE?

There's a spreadsheet floating around that shows the effectiveness, as I recall it's:

Awakened Increased Area of Effect > Intensify > Increased Area of Effect

I know of a similar spreadsheet to calculate Toxic Rain DPS but am not aware of anything for BF/BB. It seems like it would be a pain to model right as BF/BB has way more variation in terms of overlap.

but now I cant use vigilant strike which Im guessing needs a melee weapon? if so that sucks. Just bought that wand. Fortify support, faster attacks and shield charge works just fine as an alternative to vigilant strike?


Edit: Wait never mind I got another scepter instead to avoid the headache of getting another wand for more boss dmg and shield charge seems clunky for some reason

Question regarding the Clarity setup, is there a better gem other then using Clear Mind? since using Clarity and are reserving mana the Spell damage mod is useless. or is that mana regen the reason it is there?

Absolutely. Any rare with life and mana, or a corrupted blood immunity jewel with any useful affixes.

Honestly skipping fortify is not a big deal with the proper setup. I ran a 150% spell damage wand + replica mistwall to 100 and at no point have I ever felt either the dps being low or the survivability being bad.

Since getting 100 I switched to full + gem setup for lv 28 bladeblast and honestly, the tankiness from the added spell block from replica mistwall was not worth the dps loss in most cases.

I clear with a sire of shards BL setup since low 90's (so no fortify, no mistwall spell block carry) and I think I died 3 total times 92 to 100 (one being to texture streaming on sirus after the patch).

If you're playing hardcore, I'd be more inclined to run fortify, but its really a wasted slot you can run Vaal RF or a oos shock/innervate setup to squeeze more dps on bosses (or culling strike if you dont have global cull)
