I only now started to play this league for real and i was wondering if this build is even leaguestart viable? I mean it says that i should get arakaali's fang at level 58 but its not viable in leaguestart scenario right? I'm asking because PoB is so convoluted i dont really understand what i should do gearwise ...

Hi oLaudix,

you reach around 5M pinnacle damage and 250k ehp with the typical lvl 90 allstars-set-up: without awakened gems, without amulet, without aegis, without eber's helmet etc. and you can balance much more into damage when wanted, 250 k ehp are top-ranked 1 for that leaguestart-level. Compared to other minions the crawler sting 5 projectiles, with pierce 20, with sniper's mark split 25, so the clearspeed is much faster as srs etc.

Scroll to the item tab and to the skill tree "lvl 90 before aul's uprising", disable purity of ice and lower/ decrease the HoA 4 levels to simulate the missing empower and awakened-supports.

The core-item aegis aurora is often very expensive in the first week of league.
I did easy the Formed, the Twisted etc. also instead with the cheap 2-5 chaos-shield apep's slumber. It's extreme strong before getting aegis. But for simulacrum wave 25-30, sirus or against the feared aegis aurora is much better.
Severed in sleep is a great starting-weapon for around cheap 2 chaos too.

With the buffs to minionpoison the default set-up is changed to scaling HoA-damage also with poison.
Arakaali's remain a great variation for clearspeed and withers, but against the Ubers United in dreams 60% poisonchance with uul neetol scales fast 40-55M damage, that is not possible with arakaali's, only when you go glascannon with the squire. Arakaali's is no longer first choice for most content and the build here and also the pob-notes etc. are almost all updated.

So I don't like to say HoA is an easy leaguestarter - only when you have some knowledges about auras and clusters and variations, HoA is better scaling than most other skills and minions. After some days or after one week there is almost always an Arachnophilia in the Necro-Leaderboard and in the Guardian-Leaderboard with removed group-bots often ranked top 1-5.

This is good to hear. I'm an idiot who can barely get to red maps consistenly so i dont even plan on doing stuff like ubers or simulacrums for now.

This is also great to hear. I tried the guardian variant cpl of leagues ago and i have to say i hate Arakaali's at least without Gravebind gloves.

I have no idea where I could include Desecrate and Bone Offering.

Other point. I had to include 1 Strength node and another Dexterity node in the passive tree.

Would the best upgrade be a ring with attributes? And how to compensate for the loss of mana pool and damage from the loss of Circle of nostalgia?

I take a look at your pob soooooon at desktop.

Try to get attributes like shown in the spoiler "attributes requirements" - best on clustertransfers or split personality es+dex.

For the skillgemslots the spoiler "Skillmanager" in "Important mechanics" shows many solutions. Try to go without clarity. Stack some spellblock with large clusters, push out tempest shield and use instead bone offering.

Spent the league so far grinding and trying to match the PoB as best as I can. I am almost there, 82 max resists. I think I have everything I need for the grind to 100. I am struggling to optimize at this point and think I may have some wasted points or stats somewhere. I also have a relic with 23%chance to avoid elemental ailments, so If I can get my boots implicit to 32% I will have a free suffix slot. I haven't anointed my relic yet but I am unsure which other node to run with.

I haven't extensively tested bosses but I am pretty comfortable with full juiced maps.

I posted before but I think my post got buried, my build is much better than where I was last. Just trying to figure out where to start spending my currency next.

So I took a look on the pob - it's looking fine with 12M damage and 1.4M ehp.

You have some overcapped attributes and could change out split personality and also practical application when you limit molten shell/ determination 1-2 lvls lower or get a bit str on a clustertransfer.

Later often the 3 passives for small clusters are better as 2.
Singletarget United in dreams with a balance of terror jewel and selfcasted despair is stronger as arakaali's.

An anti-bleeding suffix on one flasks often is the most needed suffix.

For tankyness the next upgrades are

- 100% ailment avoidances. Change the 2 spellblockpassives arcane guarding to arcane sanctuary and then get better boots like guided in "important mechanics" - "crafting".

- Melding of the flesh is almost possible with more resis on clustertransfers, veteran defender on a large cluster and aul's determination reserve no mana instead aul's with grace + switching uncompromising to sublime form-clusters too.

Looks already very fine! Well done!

update to the build. Maybe my posts are specific enough to warrant reply, but I see you have responded to a lot so I am being patient! Was able to get my boot elemental avoidance high enough to where I do not need the relic that I had mentioned earlier. Now I have a relic with +3 to max cold which boosts my max resists even more. (85 all, how did you get to 87 without a relic?)

I don't really know how to calculate my dps in PoB with minions, but I feel like it is lacking more than it should. Perhaps I am at the tipping point to swap out of the spiders? Cold iron point would get my crawler to 33.. or would United in Dream be best now? Again I am really unsure where to put my efforts at this point. Cheers!

sorry for late answering! Only now on desktop-pc I can check the pob.

Yes, the spiders are early great for clearing dungeon-maps and proxy-shield-mobs. But later with more virulences and medium clusters United in dreams/ Severed in sleep scale better the damage.

Your tanky 11M ehp are already almost perfect, but the damage is not optimal, I agree. :-)

1- When you get 100% ailment-avoidances with a relic, I first advice to regret 4 passives arcane sanctuary, your boots are already perfect! With anomalous grace you would add 3% avoidances too.

Congratulations to that perfect boots! Woow! That are nice ones!

2 - You can regret the last 1 passive serpentine spellslinger and 1 in sovereignity. Your spellblock is overcapped, so switch out 2x 4% spellblock in arcane guarding.
3 - Then following I would advice to a second circle of nostalgia and a jewel balance of terror, selfcast despair for withers and more damage. Regret 3 unused passives presage too.
4 - Use fertile catalysts on the circles of nostalgia when you got good ones (your geared ring with str/ resi is already fitting).

5 - Path with the obtained 7 passives to the next large clusterslot beside divine shield. For resis and dex you will probably need a large cluster with "veteran defender" (on position 1 or pos 3 on the poe-trade-link side, see spoiler "large defensive clusters" in the tradelinks - when you not get resis and dex on an fitting unique medium or a good small cluster). When you still miss dex, start with "severed in sleep" instead "united in dreams" or a split personality es+dex.

6 - Then following go for more medium clusters "pure agony" and switch the passives of "arcane focus" to 87-88% (with your relic) max-resis with winterprowler on a small cluster or impossible escape-jewel. You can regret the 2 ar/es-masteries for the next medium/small cluster too.

Hi Xaeror!

It's only used in the pob titled "dual wield variation". When in first days of league aegis aurora is expensive, apep slumber is the recommended shield. But dual wielding CIP's or heartbreaker dagger are possible too with "dark arts".

Take the pob's titled "final", not the "alternatives".
