Looks like we will be corrupting our staves: https://x.com/Fubgun/status/2029280424607007048 . Finally some reason to keep buying them LOL.

They are adding Volatile Vaal Orb, i.e. Vaal Orb from PoE 2.

What is does: PoE 2 Wiki

The outcome we will be interested in is #2: Randomize numerical values by multiplying them by a random number between 0.78 and 1.22. This means you can roll the %Int value to 22%. That's not bad at all. The only question is how rare and expensive these PoE 2 Vaals are going to be.

I highly doubt that it will be allowed to go over the limit and add a 7th socket. That would be just crazy, especially for WI.

is there a list of possible corrupts?

Yes: PoE 1 Wiki

These are all worse than the default Block implicit. This is why we haven't corrupted the staff until now.

But the good outcome from the new orb does not change the implicit.

@ichbinwerichbi, don't feel bad about the Maven memory game -- I can't do that either! I normally do Maven once for the voidstone just after I level, and burn all six portals! My main issue is actually seeing the floor blink with the electric spines circling around as well as the other SFX.

The same here :-) All things blinking and i dont realise when to go where and so on :-)
And as i said til i am not a good player the build was the last leagues the best as it forgave a lot of failures :-)
By the way, for the first time, I plan to level up as an exsanguinate mine/reap trickster, which will hopefully get me into red maps by Friday night (rather than the normal Tuesday/Wednesday timeframe if I do WI.) See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZmSvShK5ajk for a SSF example.

Once I have enough stuff on the atlas tree, I then plan to do blight maps. I have normally avoided them in the past, but it's time for me to learn how to do it. And blight pays well during the first week as I understand.

Eventually I'll have the funds to respec into WI and relax.

What do you folks plan to do?
Still waiting on PoB to update... Then again, they will still don't have the new exceptional support gems for a while since GGG refused to unveil most of them.

3.27 PoB's should work fine, just delete the fleshgrafts. I'll be updating things when possible.

The damage early on is about the same as with Icicle mines. Icestorm damage that we have from lv 33 on is much higher than the mines he is using.

The speed there comes from 2 things:
1) movement skill spam: Whirling Blades + frostblink/Flame Dash;
2) the skill and experience of the user. He's a top racer and has done it great many times.

Hate to blow your bubble, but I really doubt that you will be in red maps on Friday night. And the build he is using will likely not work for you at all. It requires a lot of skill, fast reaction and high APS (actions per second). You can see this pro almost dying countless times. You will be dead in all those situations.

This is a classic case where it's not about the build. It's about the player.

Sorry.

I usually just play this build from start to finish of the league, which is what I have done the past few leagues in a row.

But I MAY do this heartbound autobomber build as league starter this time and then switch to trickster when I have twink gear and a bunch of our required gear saved up/crafted. But Idk, day of I may just decide to play the trickster from the start like I usually do.

The autobomber: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3496191/page/1

Ouch. I'm aware I do many things wrong when leveling. At least I have always ended up with a fully geared WI character (except for helical and simplex stuff) after about seven calendar days.

You know, I appreciate your videos of boss kills, especially when you use them to make a point.

You up for recording your leveling process to start of maps tomorrow? I'm sure I could learn quite a bit from that, and so might others.

BTW PoB has been updated to 3.28 beta.

Thats the reason i loved this build so much last 4 or 5 leagues.
No need for to much player skill.

But with the ES change i fear it will be unplayable for me. Saw some block builds, who nearly never die. Clearspeed is meh but dying is anyoing.
So will begin with Wi but if its really no chance to get so much damage that the es reduction is not killing this build i will change first time in last 10 leagues the build.
you told that we killed uber bosses with 8 k es. Yes i did this also some time BUT there was the time where leech was much much more and i survied failures because of the leech.
Now we lost a lot of leech AND es.

Build pre-updated for 3.28

- Still no official PoB update. I can't put the data that requires a Beta version into the guide, that would make it unusable for anybody without a Beta version. Just use the 3.27 trees for now. Delete the fleshgrafts.

- It remains to be seen how bad the ES nerf is. Most likely we'll have to keep Discipline and use Enlighten to add Zealotry instead of Aspect. And later on swap to Aspect. Discipline adds about 1.5k ES. Eventually you'll be able to drop it.

- Keep an eye on those new Volatile Vaal Orbs. If they are affordable, you can roll the staff to 22% Int!

- Some of the new exceptional support gems (that replace awakened ones) will definitely be useful. I'll add them to the guide when we have more information. I expect to be using at least the +5 Intensify and 40% CDR ones.

With the Atlas rework and the new mechanic, this league should be very fun and enjotable.

What is your desire?

I've been streaming my whole experience in both PoE 1 and PoE 2 for the last several leagues. If I'm playing live, you can watch on Twitch or YouTube. And the recordings of past sessions are available on YouTube too. I added these links to the general information in the guide.
