Hmm from what I saw the herald skills only gave a small AOE effect on kill, but they probably add a bit of ele damage as well.

Herald of Ash was datamined in an alpha state to be phys->fire conversion rather uninteresting, however according to Chris it's since been changed.

Herald buffs aren't auras so it looks like you can't reduce their 25% reservation with aura nodes (only with Reduced Mana).
