Is Vessel of Vinktar viable?

I'm still leveling but loving this build so far. Arc feels great for clear. Skills like frostbolt would hit doorways and rocks and just stop but Arc goes around corners! Amazing!

Was wondering if a Geofri's Crest would be useful as a budget item while waiting for a 5 or 6 link due do it being rather cheap

In addition to what WgCdr_Enriquez wrote, it's not just the ability to run reflect maps you'd give up. You'd also lose the ability to do Atziri/Uber Atziri, as you will inevitably hit the mirror clone in her splitphase, and she has inherent damage reflection which is pretty noticeable at Uber Atziri. You'd also lose the safety against the reflect auras casted by one of Izaro's Lieutenants and one of the Racecourse bosses. And the reduced damage taken part if gives should also not be underestimated!
That said, I think Cerberus Limb is an ok'ish starter weapon and currently not so expensive. We just can't really make use of its true power. Command of the Pit is more interesting. You basically trade in attack speed and resistances from gloves for easier Arcane Surge uptime and atleast another jewel socket. The Arcane Surge it grants is Level 1, although that's not that much of a downside.

I'd say whenever you find/craft a sceptre that outperforms Lifesprig, even if you don't use Arc in it anymore. Flame Dash is kinda ok now, so you don't necessarily need Shield Charge that early.

Yeah, the Volatile Power divination card set can also give Vaal Gems, so it's possible to buy/get one.

As WgCdr_Enriquez indicated, there's lots of things you need to fix - Gem setup, Flasks and your Passives. You're missing lots of life in tree while also having all your mana reserved. You also don't have the right flasks nor Fragility jewels for Ahn's to grant Onslaught. Herald of Ice doesn't even to anything besides adding a little cold damage. Switch to the build in this guide and it'll work much better.

They're all the same for Arc, so take whatever gives the highest value. However, only Lightning/Elemental Damage affect Inpulsa explosions, so with that item you want to focus on those.

Vinktar is in a very bad spot right now. The flask has only 1 usage and doesn't really grant anything that justifies it occupying a flask slot, that we could use for a better flask instead.

It's not so bad, but Tabula is the preferred option and rather easy to farm, therefore Geofri's Crest isn't listed in the guide.

Really ty for the guide, just starting ssf for the first time now in delve and just felt amazing for leveling, one question, whats the order of importance for gems considering i can't get a 6L yet?ty!

" (Vaal) Arc (obviously) > Spell Echo > Controlled Destruction Those are the easy ones, after that it gets a bit sketchy and depending on gear itself and also enemies. I personally go: Hypothermia > Lightning Penetration > Added Lightning Damage Though those 3 are as far as I can tell fairly close together in their straight up damage boost for Arc. Also consider that Hypothermia needs an extra jewel slot (or a roll on gear for cold damage on spells) but it also adds a bit of control to the playstyle with the addition of chilling for all the enemies hit (that is the cold damage on spells not Hypothermia). Obviously Lightning Penetration value depends on the opponents you are fighting, but I prefer it because Added Lightning Damage adds more "rng" range to Arc, while Lightning Penetration gives pretty much a flat boost. |

Hello ! First of all, a big thanks for this guide who helped me a lot, starting PoE. I used this build for Incursion, SSF and now Delve and I love it.
I have a question about Delve, what do you think of the new mace, Cerberus's Limb in Delve ? Do you think it's better than Doryani ? It's really easy to obtain in early season. Thanks a lot. | |

I am currently following your build and I've found it quite powerful and enjoyable! Thanks for sharing. :) Anyway, I have one minor enquiry about the skill tree. https://i.imgur.com/iq6RKuQ.png Isn't these three nodes in 1 a some kind of waste? I mean, what is the point of taking Crit for spells if we use Controlled Destruction that provides -100% crit for spells? Wouldn't it be more profitable by going route 2 or 3? Furthermore, by taking 3th route, we may unlock the jewel socket preceded by some ele dmg. |
