Enki's Arc Witch Memorial Page
I've wondered that myself, but the build has CD for arc only. We still need crit for Orb of Storms to proc EO. Also that hooks into the flask benefit area, which looks like part of the build as well. I haven't gotten to the point I need it yet, though, nor gotten to the point I am flask managing heavily.

Which masters would be the most useful for this build, thanks

Enki thx for replying ;)
What about 2h staffs instead of scepter + shield ? I don't like the idea of getting ahn shield +2 useless socekts and am using flame dash. What u guys think about getting smth like pledge of hands ? Dunno how to link items... But spell echo lvl 30 is nice and in 6th socket I would put empower ? That would make a lot of DMG.. and 100% more Mana is nice also .
" Pledge of hands works okay. I ran a variation of this build using it last league and didn't have too many problems. You do lose out on shield charge and fortify, as well as the permanent onslaught from Ahns and the jewels. Big bosses (shaper, uber elder, etc) get harder as well due to the lost mobility. I used arc (vaal), lightning pen, added lightning damage, innervate, controlled destruction, empower in the pledge, though there are probably better selections. If you want to stick closer to the guide, then I would add empower to the socket freed up by the spell echo being on the pledge. Play around with path of building and see what comes out best and still fits the play style you want. " I had the same question and found the answer after a bit of searching. Apparently Controlled Destruction only reduces BASE crit. So if you have 5% base crit and obtain 15% more from the tree, etc. for a total of 20% crit then using CD will only reduce your crit to 15%. Therefore, high crit builds can use CD for the major increase in spell damage while only reducing their crit by a few percent. Hopefully that info is correct. Let me know if I am wrong. I'm pretty much a scrub - trying this build this league and really enjoying it so far. The skill Arc just feels really satisfying when self-cast. |

@ScorpZero : If I'm not wrong, I think this path (number 1 on your picture) is taken to access Alchemist nodes (flask effect and duration).
Otherwise, I just wanted to say that the guide is very clear and detailed, and the build is very satisfying to play in Delve so far ! Thank you Enki :)
Thanks for all your answers guys! :)

@cryptarch
Judging by your profile you've already made a few upgrades. Focus on flasks next and get yourself a Cerberus Limb or equally good sceptre, then consider Essence Worm or Inpulsa's.
@Tød
Yeah, at its current price it's a good alternative. Was hesitant to add it as it was pretty expensive early, but now that it's cheap it found its way into this guide.
@ScorpZero
As the others wrote, it's to increase EO proc chances and to access the extremely powerful Alchemist cluster, which doesn't just buff flask duration but also their effect, such as physical mitigation from Basalt or the penetration/damage reduction from Wise Oak.
Controlled Destruction only affects the spell it's linked to and can't reduce crit below its base crit. It's also a reduced modifier, which makes it not as harsh and can be countered with increased crit modifiers. For spells, the formula goes like this: (base crit * (1 + (increased crit - reduced crit))) * more/less crit In the end, this will still leave us with 5% crit chance on Arc since we don't have enough increased crit modifiers to counter the reduced crit, unless you'd get some on gear. But that's not really needed as we use Orb of Storms to reliably proc EO anyway.
@THE_CARRY
Haku and Elreon are kinda the base, once in maps you want Zana. Later add Tora or Catarina, and once reaching a Lv7 Master you can invite all masters anyway into that hideout.
@fantafff
Mobility is one of our main defenses so I personally wouldn't recommend it, but as Dspayre wrote it can definitely be done if you can live with the downsides.
@eddytechno809
It doesn't add anything beneficial and the opportunity cost is too high, which is why it's not listed in this guide.
