Do you use Wither on a Spell Totem? Don't cast it yourself, it's a channeling spell. This may be the reason why you find it underwhelming. It actually boosts your DPS quite a bit (up to 120% if I'm not mistaken?)

yea, on the spell totem with faster casting.


It takes some time to "wind up", that is, achieve enough stacks so that the damage is noticeable.
Also, it tends to die on many occasions, dropping the Wither stacks.

Totem+wither gives you more damage on the long run.
But lightning trap is more reliable, and it gives you more burst damage.

I`m going to test it more, but so far I'm leaning towards using lightning trap.

Yes, sometimes it dies - but it does its job very well if u dont place it too close to the enemy, and re-casting it takes 0.5 sec. Also, it takes aggro from bosses that focus the totem isntead of u, which is another benefit.

this is a good point. the totem has gotten agrro from some tough bosses for me. I've even put it close on purpose so I can run in safely to apply the DoT.

yep exactly.

I don't get how you even cast the 3 curses. They each reserve 35% mana, and you only take one -4% Reserved node...

yep, 12% is enough to run 3 curses + have mana to use.

I have one question. How about using Lightning Coil? I am using Tabula rasa(Lv86), but after T8 map, it is hard to survive. I wanna be more defensive. What should I do? is it a good choice buying Lightning Coil? or, there is another option? plz give me a wise advice! I look forward to your reply!

hey.
If you ensist on going unique chest, so both Lightning Coil and Belly of the Beast are nice chests.
