No, your spectres will be fine. These are mostly for *your* survival. Uber Atziri hits you with a LOT of fire damage - I consider that shield, a fire flask, and a purity of fire to be pretty much mandatory for that fight.

Lioneyes gives you a big life boost, lets you *probably* survive 1-shots from guardians and shaper.

The last one has % mana gain on block, which means I'm never even low on mana, even in the middle of huge abyss packs trying to zerg me to death. Block and a life flask keeps my life up, block and this shield keeps my mana full as well.

Get either a Reverberation Rod or make a 4 link BBBR +1 minion helm.

Sorry if that's a nooby question (I am quite new to the game) but assuming I am just starting the League and I'm mid 20ties lvl with my Witch (first char, not levelled yet Forsaken Masters) how can I make this 4 link BBBR helmet?

You can have more sockets and links with the currency.

Jewellers for sockets and fusings for links, and chromatic orbs for colouring them.

Or you can buy one from the poe.trade website from other player. But while leveling you can buy a Goldrim (cheap unique helmet) that can do the job just fine until you can have a Skullhead (unique helmet that you see in the gear section of the build)

Or if I'm online, I'd be happy to craft any of that for you.

How does your "solar guard + vanguard pseudo 6 link" work? Do you take helmet off and summon 2x solar guards with the chest and then put the helmet on for the other raise spectre gem and then summon 2x vanguard? I am confused about how to get the solar guards to work with the chest and the vanguards to work with the helmet. Sorry, I'm new.

LOL - not quite that complicated. Although it's not entirely simple, either.

So, you will have two complete setups. Take mine, for instance:


Notice I have a Raise Spectre gem in both my helm and my chest. So when summoning, I cast desecrate until I get either a solar guard or tukohama's vanguard. Then I make sure I raise that with the correct gem - because the supports are not the same between the two. Then I continue casting desecrate / raise (with the correct gem!) until I have 2 of each.

Section "4 - Gem Links" says that "Chance to Ignite" can be used to support Spectres.

But Chance to Ignite skill gem can only support skills that hit. Scorching ray totems used by Tukohama Vanguard do not hit, they apply damage over time debuff.

I checked on my totem build. Chance to Ignite indeed does not support Scorching Ray (neither Spell-totem not self-cast).

So, is this a mistake in build?

Well, it *might* be. OTOH, Natt has done some pretty exhaustive testing, showing that gems that *should* work, in some cases, do not, and vice versa.

The only way to know for sure would be to test it... which I might do if I ever lose my spectres. But I'm certainly not going to go through the hassle of borrowing a shaper portal and resummoning if I don't have to.

If you feel like doing the testing, summon a single TV and kill Avarious Reassembled - Act 10, IIRC several times. Record how long it takes without that gem. Then add that gem and try it several more times. Compare the times, and let us know.

My guess would be the lvl of your animatie guardian is insufficient.

Excellent catch. If your Animate Guardian gem isn't level 15, you can't animate Dyadus.

I've read the full description of the gem. It says "Supports any skill that hits enemies."
Scorching Ray never hits, thus it cannot be supported by Chance to Ignite support gem.

You don’t link scorching ray to it but raise spectre. They can hit, so they get the fire damage increase. Just hover with your cursor over the gem in your chest and you see which gems are supported.

I'm using Necromantic Aegis though, so the stats doesn't affect me. I was just looking for any other possible shield to boost their damage up when there's no other mobs nearby to kill for Victario's Charity such as during boss fights.

Oh, sorry, didn't realise you were running NA. I don't think there is a better choice than Victario's for NA - the damage boost from that is massive.
