Hi, I have been following the build since last week. It's my first time following a necro build (second witch that I build) and I never crafted anything expensive before.

So, I have some doubts about the process of crafting the weapon for this build.

Here's a comment with the alternate process (updated in the guide as method2) that I will refer to:



Im confused mainly because it was vaguely written, but I understand that probably won't be an issue for someone that's faimiliar with all poe craftings shenanigans.

My doubts are in the point 5.

It says that, with fortify, you master craft, then regal for 1 extra prefix or suffix, then beastcraft and that it fails 33% of the time. Where's that 33% of the times coming from?

Fortify is a suffix, "cannot roll attacks" master mod is a suffix (poedb source: https://i.imgur.com/Ee64d4k.png), regaling the weapon, we can group the outcomes in the 3 categories:

1- You actually get the +lvl gems mod.
2- You get the wrong prefix.
3- You get a random suffix.

For the first scenario, you are done. ✓

For the second one, you can beastcraft to remove the master mod and add the only prefix that still available, the +lvl gems. So, you also are done. ✓

For the last scenario, you beastcraft to remove a suffix, since you have 2 we can analyze a set of possible outcomes:

3.1- You remove the random suffix you just regaled, and get the +lvl gems, item done. ✓

3.2- You remove the random suffix you just regaled, and get the wrong prefix. So since you still have another suffix (mastercraft mod), you just beastcraft again to get the +lvl gems. ✓

3.3- You remove the mastercraft mod, and get +lvl gems prefix. ✓

3.4- You remove the mastercraft mod, and get the wrong prefix, then you craft another suffix master craft mod cheaper, repeat the beastcraft and you will endup with the +lvl gem mod. ✓

I just don't see how to break the item or where the 33% comes from. For sure something in my logic is wrong, otherwise it will be 100% of the times and a matter of how much curremcy it will cost.

Maybe the beastcraft doesnt work with the mastercraft mod in that way, maybe the beastcraft doesn't actually adds a prefix and then removes the suffix and it works the other way around which could potentially give you an undesired preffix. Or the possible prefixes aren't 2 as its listed in poedb, so all of this doesnt make sense?
