Get the pantheon where you gain increased life regen and phys% reductions when you stand still.
Since you plan to afk everything, then remove all active skill gems such as desecrate and replace it with CWDT linked to spirit offering or molten shell.
You won't be needing convocation so you can link your spectres to meat shield and get a It of tul spectre found in a tul breachstone, it's clouds gives massive defensive buffs.
Then you can use this
This allows you to grow vines up to 10 and thus taking 10% less dmg.
The downside is you become slow and you must stand still for a while for the buff to activate, which is perfect for afk.
And if did all of the above but still have afk issues, then exchange vitality with your dread banner, and change dread banner into Anomalus, you will loose a lot of dmg but in return you will boost life regen and the anomalus dread to nearby enemies deal about 15% less dmg.
I already thought about the CWDT options but its not neccessary anymore. AFk blight never fails and afk simulacrum fails maybe every 10th time. I guess I call it a day for this league. Maybe I waste all my remaining currency on trying to make a 800+ ES Vaal Regalia.
Hmm the problem is it heavily depends on your level of investment, while the CI version can have a higher cieling, it also comes with a lower floor too.

I tried the C.I. version of this build. Not as advertised. I lost 5.000 energy shield to gain some physical damage reduction. Not impressed. Died first map I entered. The truth is that monsters barely touch you. But when a hit finaly manages to land, you die. I'seen poeple in videos with 4.000 energy shield tanking everythig afk. I have no idea how that's possible. I just died to Shaper beam instantly, even to Dominus beam in shaper realm.... anyway time to get rid the items before the big nerf.
But with enough investment everything works.

Unfortunately I do not have a phys based video of spectres. Nor do I recall anyone ever sharing one.
But if you're interested in the biggest phys carrion witch setup. (Changing between spectres and golems are very similar just need change some jewels and your 6 link then unskill golem points)

He has every aura and links important ones to enhance.
And he only needed 4 jewels with RMR to do it.

About the guy with a low budget... what would you say was his mistake though? It seems his items were on par with the build.
Also... something I noticed in almost all the builds you linked (compared to this thread's) is the extremely low physical eHP. Why is that? Is PoB not counting something somehow?
But honestly it kinda put me down. Those builds seems EXTREMELY expensive. This thread's is fine for me, give me a month or so and I'll have that kind of currency, but I can't make a mirror's worth of currency for the life of me. I suck at it.
It also seems like physical SO are hard to scale... your build reaches 80m dps with golems, but only 1.65m per spectres as stated.
I'm running SO spectres and clearing speed is ok. Playing with non-aggresive minions is a bit tricky, you need to move towards mobs for minions to attack them but once you figure it out it's very easy.

Don’t do that - if you’re done with the league, pay it forward and dump all your gear and currency to someone who plays Standard, and can enjoy your build moving forward!

The guy didn't have access to the proper gems and was using really low es gears with 5p mediums which kinda comes to question if he even achieved the minimum requirement %aura effect.
I believe the only alt gem he had was the divergent determination, this prevented him to being ailment immune, ignite means less regen, shock means 50% inc dmg taken.
Had a great time, now to move on to my juggernaut. Prices negotiable.
Selling in standard:
Abit weird to use this build thread to sell your gear in standard, probably should be using sale tabs like everyone else. Can't see you making bank regardless.
Also how are you even running the build on standard? Without the correct alternative q gems it's much much much worse in every way. Like almost pointless.
So about the ehp POB doesn't calculate a few alternative quality gems, and one of them is the Divergent Determination, thus the phys reductions doesn't show up.
As for our builds with scions, the phys reductions comes from guardian ascendancy.
The main source of their Dps is their secret police dagger skill, and if you look at the POEdb there's 3 of them!
Ghazzy made a YT video about these spectres and explained how their DPS works and they can shotgun.
Shotgun means multiple projectiles can stack on the same monster.
But basically it means the way you calculate SO true dps is.
Secret police dagger dps x3 x5(GMP)X4 (#Spectres)
And yes you're right these build are extremely expensive and thus I would never call this as the main build but as an extension of WaffleT's Lowlife build. An extension with multiple possibilities.
And it is also why I suggested you to take a look at the best bang for buck setup at the very end of that post, so you can get an idea on the minimum investment.
Ok this might be the final version of my phys SO spectre build for this season:
Tried looking for a better +2aura/5% RMR helm the last week but none of been on the market with good enchants on them, and I can't be fuked to buy all the damn essences to try and make it myself
other than that I could get a slightly better wand, or a +3 unset ring with % increased ES, but there haven't been any on the market. I did find this +2 one and hit a lucky annul on it to get the multimod:
The vivinsect still gives aboue 200 more ES though, but at the cost of the extra mana reserved
this version can comfortably do t15 trop island zana delis, t16 80% deli beyond, and A8 sirius/uber elder are an absolute breeze. 100% deli or double beyond get really sketchy though, and I die fairly often on em. A ring/helm upgrade would help I'm sure, but instead I've decided to try out the cold conversion version and see how that goes.
finally sold my +2 duration gem saqawals after a few weeks for 350ex, the money of which I'm using to fund trying out the cold version of the spectre build
here's the gear I've collected so far
lots of expensive RMR jewels so I can fit the hatred and zealotry in. Gonna see if I can still use headhunter or not, if not got the darkness enthroned to deal with the mana issue.
Once I get it fully up and running I'll report back with how it is.
