The problem is, SO are phys based and you don't have a triads but your gems are geared towards elemental dmg, and from experience hybrid dmg are always less.
Two ways to solve this problem
1) loose out on points from medium clusters and get a triad and path of death manually while trying to maintain 400% aura effect
2) Change specters. Find one either that has pure elemental dmg or with built in conversion.
Some of these spectres include:
스포일러
Frost auto scouts
Baranite preacher
Scale of Esh
Templar Tacticians
Templar warmaiden
Redemption sentries
Or alternatively you can try a new one to experiment with: https://poedb.tw/us/mon.php
Other improvements:
- instead of carrion get an AG.
-Get more RMR for more auras instead of
-Every 25% aura effect is a breaking point for more dmg.
you're currently sitting on 389%.
Could alternatively use a skyforth boots and reach 455% aura effect.
Then anomalous grace + lvl4 enhance alone will make u full ele ailment immune.
-I believe using a Generosity over empower on the helm is better in terms of DPS and mana, but less %phys reduction.
-35% clusters with ES for more survivability.
스포일러
Also recently I've learn that the difference between a 25% and 35% is a tiny bit bigger than I originally thought.
The 25% make each passive point 7% aura effect.
While 35% will make each point 8% aura effect.
It's difficult to use though. I asked localidentity a lot of questions :\
Thanks kay.
Ok that is still way over my head, I guess I'll stay and be happy with poedb till I have more time to learn it.
I was originally thinking it was just a more detailed version of POB or something.

Hey Turbo! Thanks for the quick answer :) I already tried triad gloves and frost auto scouts but I didnt really like them, for now best has been phys SO
which gem changes would you recommend to keep spectres as they are?

Happy new years for you too :)
To be honest I have never explored hybrid damage, but if you must go that way, I'm thinking maybe you can try apply EE and try apply both ele weakeness and vulnerbility at the same time. but this is very hard to achieve, but could be done with the help of an AG with +1 curse boots and maybe a dual curse glove.
Maybe find a way to add in skitter bots the shock can help inc dmg taken by mobs on both phys and elemental dmg too.
But as for the gems there really isn't much to do.
Unless your willing to heavily invest into a +1 saw and a +2 staff then you can remove the empower in the 6link.
But personally I think best way to make the build better now without too much major changes would be moving on with 35% mediums and getting that last level to achieve 400% aura effect.
okay, so after about 450 ex spent acquiring more gear and tinkering with the build yesterday, I've come up with a cold ele conversion SO spectre build I'm pretty happy with (450 ex just getting the stuff required to switch to the cold version, not 450ex total for everything). Just did a t16 100% deli double beyond primordial pools deathless fairly easily, had to return to town twice to resummon spectres though.
Here's the gear:
Clusters
other jewels
running the 3 large cluster setup with renewal and vicious bite, raze and pillage is chosen for the 3rd because it's at the back of the cluster so you don't take it and only spend 5 points total for the 2 good passives and 2 jewel sockets
auras:
hatred
zealotry
flesh and stone
vitality
hatred
precision
POL
POI
POF
grace
haste
discipline
clarity lvl 1 (divergent - allies deal 20% increased dmg when on full mana - I remember someone testing this out on SO at some point in the league and saying it works)
then also aspect of the avian and skitterbots
pros:
dmg is absolute insane with the triple cluster setup and cold conversion. Just melts everything
cons (compared to the "standard" phys version of the build most people are playing):
- maybe a little squishier than my phys set up - about 5700 ES on this one vs 7800 ES on phys setup. This might be offset by the increased dmg so things die faster, not sure yet, need to play more for a better feel
- no head hunter buffs because need to wear the abyss belt for more mana reserved
- have to spend 4 points on a jewel socket for might of the meek for the extra mana reserved to fit all the auras (one reason for less ES in this version, other one being no shaper's touch)
- have to spend an insane amount of currency to get RMR on 8 jewels
overall it's been a fun project and goal to reach - making the money necessary for all the upgrades and something to work towards. Is it worth the extra money compared to the phys version? Hard to say at this point, need to test more.
had to go back to town twice to resummon spectres because they died to beyond mods. Also didn't have time to full clear alva rooms. Other than that was smooth.
Also my AG is wearing complete budget gear in the video - no kingmaker, garb, ele curse gloves, or - cold res helm. Haven't regeared him yet and wanted to test survivability in the new hungry loop I made in a fully juiced map. Seems fine.

Maybe you can consider giving your AG a king maker, the fortify will allow 20% less dmg taken. Might help a little with spectres survival.
Anti ignite and anti shock will help immensely in keeping the minions alive.
Also where is your minion's source of life leech?
Since you don't have feasting fiends anymore on the large clusters, maybe should should get a ghastly eye jewel with minion life leech.
And yes clarity works, I was the person who tested them.

So I was wondering would Divergent Clarity actually work on FAS specters.
Also if they do work, how effective would it be since they are constantly casting spells, would their mana ever be full?
In short the answer is YES, and FAS and SO permanently have full mana.
As for how I proved it... I did some science.
Basically bought a Pledge of hands and got a 4link.
The idea was since we can't see their mana bars, but we can still see their life bars.
I unskilled and took out all sources of life regen for the minions.
I made sure they had no life regen by letting them take a little dmg and they never recovered.
Only used 1 spectre and the results were:
Frost Auto Scout- Life never drops after attacking
Syndicate Operatives- Life never drops after attacking
Carnage Chieftain - Killed itself
So this proves that both FAS and SO specters doesn't use any mana at all even for their skills. But then this led to a second question, do they even have a mana pool. Does Div clarity it still give them damage boost?
To find out I moved clarity to the 90% quality bow
Ran 10 white cemetery maps with only, 2 FAS spectres.
Controlled destruction for no crit.
Turned off Avian and only ran defensive auras.
5 maps with clarity OFF ====averaged 14 seconds to kill the boss
5 maps with clarity ON ==== averaged 8 seconds to kill the boss

Got a video uploading on youtube right now of the map I just ran, will post it once it's done rendering.

ayyyy I knew I could count on you to come through with the constructive criticism :) I'm not surprised u were the one who tested the div clarity, and am glad u did.
minions don't have any life leech at the moment- good call on that. Right now they have a good amount of regen - 270/s from the div. vitality, 10/s from one of the jewels in the belt, 2%/sec from the renewal nodes. But ya the leech would help them get the dmg buff from div vitality more often for sure.
For the AG - I had edited my post after u responded. AG currently just has budget gear on because wanted to test survivability in the new hungry loop setup, but seeing it do fine in that map I'll give it all the standard good stuff like kingmaker soon.

Heya Turbo! had a look around the post and found somme stuff so made changes: https://pastebin.com/5cRT1MD7
how does it look now? I lost the torrent's belt but I'm gonna try to get some 5p voices to get some passives back and get it running again. Or maybe some large clusters with 3 notables so I just spend 5 points for 2 notables and 2 jewels?
Currently at 3.8x aura effect so I think getting my last lvl and 2 5p voices should get me to 4x and back to torrent's for the harb buff.
if you see anything else i could change that i cant see would be really appreciated ^^
if you see anything else i could change that i cant see would be really appreciated ^^
Get a pair of +1 socketed triads, this can further boost the enhance to lvl5.
So at 400% aura effect your Anomalous grace with lvl5 enhance should give you 100% ailment immunity.
This will let you free up the purity of elements on the bow to get a divergent one, this will give you a lot of dmg.
Get the anger with movement speed alternative quality, you won't need the flame dash anymore cause you will be running so fast.
Can replace flame dash with skitterbots.
Replace summon phantasms on hungryloop to bonechill, enemies will take inc cold dmg.
Get Anomalous dread banner in the bow, this will be a big source of tankiness.
Vaal purity of lightning makes your minion ignore enemy resistances.
Move div Clarity to bow, and div vitality out to somehwere else, this is because they don't use Mana so it's more reliable than having full life since they will always have full Mana.
Another thing is, I would try find a way to change the setup so if I want max dps output, I would simply be able to move the anger to helm linked to generosity, while div vitality in bow.
But when you need mobility you can swap them and trade dmg for movement speed.
Also although haste in the helm does give you more dmg, it makes you slowwww but it's a personal preference.
