So general consensus is that this is still strong and a decent league starter? Chaos slinger seems like a really strong option to get through acts and get the starting gear.

I think the fastest way to level this build is stormblast mine + frost bomb early on then u can respec and \ or switch to chaos slinger. But the downside of this is its just too complicated so u have to pratice a lot before league start in order to get efficient. Tyty has a video of this:

Thanks for the tips. I was just practicing ED + contagion to get me to chaos slinger, but man does it feel clunky at low levels. I think that recommendation came from previous patches, so might attempt this instead.

I tried to practice with ED/C as well, but really wasn't a fan (both slinger and self-cast).

In the end, Soulrend + Bane seemed to be much more efficient as far as I could tell.

You mean taking Bane around level 30 through maps instead of chaos slinger? Even people on the Bane builds are talking about leveling as slinger, do you think Bane is in a better spot for that? I'll probably stick to chaos slinger for the fun gameplay anyway, but it's the level 1-30 that I need to learn with stormblast / frost mines.

Keeping it simple, using the same gear set up as Paruz and Neo.

Still room for one more aura but needs some better life recovery (like Carrion) or use vitality.
