skele + spell echo+ minion damage + pierce + gmp for clear/hypothermia for bosses

hi, awesome build! atm just finish all the acts and doing some small maps to get to lv 73, but i wanna ask if there is any option for swapping animate guardian i hate that mechanic :/ can i put in the helmet something like a carrion? xd

edit: i play skeleton mages xdd

Carrion doesn't really help mages (he adds phys damage)

I recommend Stone Golem. He gives you extra life regen.

Arakaali's Spiders here too. I tried Decay Ward and it does make a big difference, however the supports still die during the hard fights where they would be making the most difference. They are great to have for most of the game, but when you are at the point where spiders are ripping through maps, the supports make little difference.

I am still keeping them, because they don't die always. Some bosses or big fights kill them easily, some don't. But now that I am focused on endgame bosses I am just following the original build again for more dps.

Hm. Maybe I made a mistake with the support minions :(

I didn't notice a big problem when I tested it, but I guess the supports are too squishy :(

Edit: if you just use Carrion Golem, link divergent withering touch. and in the dagger swap withering touch to awakened phys damage.

I thought about cyclone + cwc + desecrate + spirit offering. Easier to get offering and you don't need to stand still to cast

At first I assumed that maybe mine were squishy because I didn't have god-tier gear, but it seems that many people playing spiders have the same issue.

Right now I switched to just golem and Victario's Charity as I said in another post. Any other suggestions are welcome!

I added this in edit of my other post!

If you just use Carrion Golem, link divergent withering touch. and in the dagger swap withering touch to awakened phys damage. This will give you more DPS.

For faster mapping, you can also try d.melee splash + minion speed + melee phys (this is the old build's dagger links)

Withering Touch on golem is just to help build Withered stacks faster, along with Occultist Withering Presence, right?

Hey guys!

So I finally got everything to switch from Melee SRS to Kay's Carrion Golem build.
I found out that there's very little defense for my golems, zombies, spectres, and AG.
So I bought a "Very Large" Thread of Hope and socketed it in the Jewel Socket that's right above Lord of the Dead.
And it gives me access to both Indomitable Army and Ravenous Horde, which the former one gives some defensive layers to all my support minions and my golems.
The sacrifice are the 2 points to get Mystic Bulwark, in my case.
Unless the map has unique Harbinger bosses and Beyond (or anything with similar difficulty), I haven't notice my minions die at all.

For anyone who's also playing this build and want to have some layers of defense for their minions, that's my solution.

In addition to the first reply:
As far as I can tell from PoB, with assassin's mark and power charges from monkes, increased crit damage support is better than minion damage (and in fact, better than anything else).
Also, volley has lower damage penalty than GMP while still providing decent coverage. I use lesser volley and have no issues.
