Damage is less. Max 5 spectres vs 12 skele + vaal skeles. Skele damage also scales better: 12% more per level vs 5% more per level spectres.

Spectre build is also less tanky because of Necro Aegis. Give spectres charges from shield but takes away defense from your necro :(

Basically spectres is
Pro: smoother mapping
Con: less damage, less tanky

Skele mages
Pro: tanky, dps
Con: Annoying summoning + skele delay before they shoot

I play Animate Weapon in league because it's smoother for mapping. I also tested Dom Blow and it's also fast/smooth for mapping.

Use Zealotry+Generousity instead of Skitterbots

+int Gems Wand
+Quality 21 Vaal Skeletons
+Quality on other Gems
+awakend Gems etc.
+LMP or Volley istead of GMP imho

Enchantment on Gloves

Seriously skip the qual on a 21 VSS it's like 10ex more for a tiny % increase if your dedicated to minnaxing sure but otherwise costbenefit does not add up. For that amount you can probably craft or have a decent amount towards buying a +2 wand which will will increase both DPS and survivability waay more (post says int gems but fairly sure they mean all skill).

Quality on other gems is fine to do as your not paying quite as much of a premium would add to that anything not getting an awakened gem replacement should be lvl 21 as well whether you but it or do it yourself.

Useful boot enchants are life regen while moving I think there's a movespeed and a mana regen that can be helpful. You can corrupt after enchanting and not lose the enchant btw.

Talking of corruption you can corrupt your fleshcrafter looking for +to relevant gem levels. Make sure you have a spare! Can brick the item. Someone in global said that +2 duration on a 5l is as much or more dmg than a 6l without

Getting 20% Quality on your Mainskill is usually good.

This League its ridiculous overpriced

Vaal Summon Skeletons 21 / 20 = 18 ex

Don't buy it, maybe risk to get it yourself via temple.

Animate Weapon 21/20 = 10c

Hi, first time play necro and Kay guide was easy to follow it attract me come to test on this league.
I've read last 30 pages of Kay and some experienced player comment but I'm kind of confuse now when it comes to how to improve more on my survivability. ( I just try to run sim 30 but stopped on lvl 28... I'm not sure whether is my skill problem or my build problem... please help... )

Yes Anamalous is a bit more DPS.

For me anomalous = 1,978,207, normal = 1,933,541.

Remove increased duration from shield and move defiance banner.

Make sure only Zealotry + Generosity is linked.

Do my gems look right? I saw you told another person to remove enhance and put tempest shield in gloves. You told me to remove increased duration from shield and replace it with defiance banner then link generosity with anomalous zealotry but removing increased duration and replacing it with defiance banner doesn't seem necessary with these changes

You have no Life (exept a bit from strengh) on you Helmet.

Bone Helmet:
+3 is nice but, +2 does the job and with +120 Life total is 50c+

You have one Ghasty Jewel with only +28 Life and 3 without any Life, look for 34+ Life on every Jewel.

You Have 2 Curses but not the recommended Gloves for a 2nd curse, so Assassins Mark will not trigger imho.

You have 75% Chaos Resis, so that should not be the issue.

You use a Recovery Life on block Shield, I think an Aegis Aurora is even more Tankier and gives you 80% Cold Resistance.

I gotta fix my ghastly jewels, do something about the shield and figure out what to anoint on the gloves. The boots are just a leftover from the EA build I was previously running

The elegant hubris I have, has three slumlords, unfortunately to get all three is eight points iirc. To get two of them I think it was only five, so I haven't bothered slotting that in.

I might consider buying another wand that actually has the minion and attack/cast speed, but for now I'm still using the +2.

Still haven't geared up an AG as I'm thinking about buying the divergent gem.

But what I'm still unsure about is whether I should be running auras on my chest, or if I should just do a completely different setup, and have the skeleton links on the chest instead.

I believe my block is at 75/73.

After some lucky drops yesterday I have managed to accumulate ~9Ex.
What would be the best order of upgrades for my build?

The guide for animate weapon doesn't seem to have the animate weapon gem anywhere. Where should this go?
