The other thing is, and this is more for my own like playstyle and preference, has anyone made this build work decently enough with claw/shield, dagger/shield? I wanna use claws or daggers, and I know the shield is a req cause of shield charge.

Cybil's Paw seems kind of interesting and but you'd want a lot of attack block chance. Heartbreaker or Divinarius for Dagger, tho I am sure you can probably craft better than all 3 of those at this point.

Hey! I think the only version currently that works well with 0 uniques and half-decent rares is Archmage. Mana scaling is plentiful on the tree and easy to craft with Necropolis.

The PC stacking versions of last league are obviously out, Impale version requires gloves, and Cold Conversion does require at least a Hrimsorrow (which is like 1 alch).

If you're in trade though, I could recommend a +gem levels cold conversion version more than Archmage. Cold is just a great element that scales very well thanks to Hatred.

If you are in SSF, I'd say the base spells will feel good only at T15, T16 and Conquerors are going to be some looooong fights.

There IS some CaptainLance tech (or was it another streamer?) (Blessing + mines) that could help? Basically you get Pyroclast Mines of Sabotage in March of the Legion iirc and then throw a whole bunch down and they add like 3k Fire damage to every single blade blast tick or something.

Edit: It's funny you mention Cybil's Paw. It is AMONG MY FAVOURITE SSF ITEMS!! It's the most accessible form of LGOH for spells in game, and with Glancing Blows / dual wield mastery you can actually get VERY insane amounts of return from it.

Heartbreaker I tend to use as a swap for Culling Strike but it is also a budget star.

But mate, don't you realize you are dying a lot and are paper thin?

That's because the 0.2% cold damage leeched as life implicit is cancelling your Utula's Hunger effect!!

Jesus christ, congrats, you now have 5904 life instead of 3620 HAHAHHAA

(Nah, stay cold. You're looking REALLY good at like 12-26 mill damage.)

If you can level more or want to fight Ubers consider Glacial Cage and the Cold Mastery that adds up to 50% more damage taken. We don't "freeze" Ubers in place per se but the damage counter still adds up.

Your next move in GSF is to find an acceptable Frostbite on Hit ring. That will feel MASSIVE in terms of QoL.

Also, you're reserving 50.27% of your life, meaning you've turned off overleech. With 3.6k total HP and no overleech, How you got to 95 is an absolute mystery to me. Hahaha well done!

Realized a couple of the things before seeing your reply, but definitely missed a couple of them.

Swapped all the jewels to magic and still need a few more levels to finish the passive tree.

Question. Does the added cold damage on the wand and the added fire damage on the ring really help to scale the overall DPS by that much? Noticed in POB the chance to ignite seems like its adding a lot of damage.

Trying to see the path from ~4mill to 33mill DPS.

Nope, the cold does nothing! I was just using my friend's gear to scale up the build you'd want a +1 all spell instead, this raises the level of Brand Recall too and auras, it's a very, very very good prefix all around.

Fire damage on ring - very good eye. That ring mod is actually the one thing igniting enemies, it can be as little as 1 fire damage, but if it crits, it sets the enemy on fire and gives you 40% crit mult against that enemy - thanks to the Sabo ascendancy Explosives Expert.

Hi! Just do these things:


1) Get a 6L, swap to crit with Increased Critical Strikes / Increased Critical Damage (replacing arcane surge). Drop Elemental Overload, obviously. Take Arcane Potency on the left side of tree. Run a Diamond Flask - very important. Finally, pick up Explosives Expert as ascendancy, its better than Bomb Specialist.

2) Prism guardians aren't expensive. Put Petrified in there. And see if a Clarity will put you below 51% life reserved. If it doesn't, put clarity in there. Now take Pain Attunement - 30% more damage. And you now have overleech which is GREAT with this build.

3) Run Zealotry - Eternal Blessing.

4) Try to fit an Algor Mortis in the build if budget is an issue. It's huge.

5) Run a second lightning mastery - Increases and Reductions to Mana also apply to shock value at 30% effect or something.

The idea is the 80+ version of the build feels awful because it doesn't necessarily proc EO all the time. May as well go crit, guarantee shocks, and start buffing that crit multi / chance.

Haha hey welcome, no worries. Let's go through the stuff one by one.

So the main thing is - Eternal Blessing goes with Zealotry, not Clarity. Clarity goes into the shield. Anything that is in the shield reserves Life instead. Clarity reserves flat numbers of life (like say, 200+ life) - if you use Zealotry, it reserves up to 50% of life, even after multiplied by the shield's LESS reservation, its still gonna reserve THOUSANDS of life.

So Eternal Blessing + Zealotry is what you do, this is a simple gem swap and costs nothing but now you have way more damage and way more life. Tada!

Okay the rest:

Buy a +2 life +2 mana Dark Seer for 2 div. This is SUPER worth it and gives you a lot of damage and reduces the damage enemies do, while giving you tons of life to work with. However to make it pop, you need to finish your Uber Lab (just buy an Offering of the Goddess, go to the Labyrinth area and open the door) and get Born in the Shadows. Now anything near you deals less damage, and takes way more damage.

This is an Archmage build right now and you really need to get mana on your items, I think of your 5 rare items which could add like 400 mana you have exactly 0 mana, which means you're not really Archmage at all at this point.

Yep, and then take pain attunement, straight up 30% damage.

ITS VERY IMPORTANT YOU GET RIGHTEOUS DECREE ASAP AND ALL THE REDUCED COST NODES AROUND TOO. Right now you are spending 193 mana per cast, so your Inspiration is resetting every 5th cast. You're basically using a 5.1 link pretty much. Unspeccing the 2 points of int near MoM should do that.

After that, rush to Arcane Capacitor, effect of Arcane Surge is very very big for us as we get it reliably with Arcane Cloak. This also gives you your second most important mastery - 10% mana recoup.

Get a Diamond flask with Crit chance roll too. Your crit right now is super low, under 30%. You want to push to 90% at least. This means getting Brittle on your boots too. Getting that initial shock off is huge.

As for Ben's build it's the Phys Impale version and I don't necessarily think it's "tankier" at these low levels of investment!

With the remaining Div I would actually invest in just getting decent Life + mana rares for now. And go for levels, at least 92 is going to help so much with all the extra life and mana coming in.

Easy fix for the reservation, change your Aura mastery from 10% increased effect of auras to 20% increased efficiency of life reservation or something. This will feel VERY comfy with that much life.

Well I was clueless how else to get leech so i decided on that lol, yeah it doesn't test it yourself in game hopefully that helps with some niche gearing options for sure.

Btw is the overleech mechanic the 2nd like life bar filling behind your actual one cus if thats the case overleech worked on my previous life reservation fine.
