Viable? Start? Yes.. Piety runner? One of the best - I can run to piety in less than a minute with the AS of the weapon and Leap Slam.

You missed Elemental adaptation which is pretty important. They improved the Haste and life nodes above the ranger tree (is that shadow tree?) so you might consider working those in somehow.

Similar to what i'm thinking, the only thing i'm wondering is 9% attack speed vs 24% elemental weapon damage (down in the bottom of the ranger tree by Ondar's)

Here is a scion start for this build, I was looking at the ranger build posted a few pages before and think that starting as a scion would be easier since you get many of the gems you need as quest rewards unlike the ranger, and since this will be my first character in the new league it wont cause me to invest alot in buying the needed gems. What do you guys think?

And the possibility of picking of vaal pact which has the potential to add alot to this build is another consideration.

Thanks Futon, would be at 108 pts with EA but I wonder if I can skip it in early maps or pick it first before add. Life% nodes, decisions decisions :P

yes, Piety is cake. I use Andvarius and aurseize gloves on runs to her.

so whats the change with the new pathc?

the scion build link in the topic is for the acutally patch i think 1.1.0 update by methril
