Just crafted this insane staff and my damage skyrocketed! Gotten used to self casting OOS and WOC so I crafted more damage for myself.

Dope. How'd you manage to get all those relevant affixes onto one staff?? Fossils?

So the "109% spell damage and 5% non chaos as chaos damage" is temple mod. When I got this staff it had +3 gems and the temple mod which is two prefixes. It also had 2 trash suffixes as you can see:



So I crafted "cannot roll attack mods" and slammed crusader's exalt on it to get a prefix and hope it rolls "lightning damage to spells" because it has 40% chance to get "gain physical as lightning" mod as you can see here:



I got lucky and hit t1 lightning spells damage so I crafted "prefix can't be changed" and scoured it so I'm left with the temple, +3 gems and lightning spells damage.

The rest is multi-mod bench craft.

first: playstile. this isnt a facetank build, its a CASTER, ranged build, use your golems to tank stuff for you (requires a bit to make them stick but then you can unleash some secs of free dps, i managed to kill t16 delirium orbed maps bosses from 100 to 0 while the golems tanked them, so free fights XD).

more Life and more ES (with your level of investment you could have 4500-5000 life easily, i have 4500 and i spent only ~3 to 4 exalteds total on my gear, but i have a crit chest to equip that will put me on the 4300).
also in regards to survival i went with a cluster for doryani lesson and storm drinker, so i could facetank and get more hp from packs without worrying about survival often. cluster provide some nice stuff to complement each of our personal playstile so use it.


eventually you will die in delirium juiced maps, the small shitty bombs are hard to see and they chase you a lot. but outside of delirium the only stuff killing you should be boss skills that should oneshot/hit hard and you should learn to avoid them.

this build has been so fun thank you very much, also big thanks to everyone in the forums lots of help in this thread.



I'm just hitting red maps, i haven't died in ages very rare for me since im used to ice shot.


these are my items so far, i have lots of work to do as far as min/max but i wanna see how far i can go without putting too much effort in.


just curious would chance to do dbl damage be a huge upgrade?

Question on our weapon suffix priorities...

After trigger... when comparing to 20%+ cast speed...

1) Why not Arcane Surge+Cast Speed? (Is it that it's less likely to be active vs bosses and we don't need it vs maps?)
2) Why not 10% chance to deal double damage?
3) Why not 45% crit-strike multiplier when a rare/unique nearby?

I'm assuming there is a specific cast speed we're looking for? Currently I'm at 0.2 sec cast time.

Could someone explain me why we should use Orb of Storm instead of Strom Brand ?
I tried using Orb of Storm but it looked like it dealt close to no damage at all (+ you have to go in melee range ?) so I don't really understand.

Casting arc inside Orb of Storms adds an additional Arc cast effectively doubling your dps from Arc.
Which means when calculating your dps in PoB take arc damage x2+Orb of storms damage

It's +3 level to ALL lightning skill gems equipped :)

What about the new Cluster Jewel notable "Supercharge" (Lightning Damage with Non-Critical Strikes is Lucky)?

How would this build perfom on a ~5ex budget with 6l Agnerod, without fancy stuff, just capped resists etc.? Can it easily farm T16 and bosses?

Not very well IMO. This is a good build for a complete league starter, but if you wanna do high end content confortably you gotta min-max a lot.
Better use that currency for more meta builds.

What are the meta builds now? Every guide seems to say "clears all content" and stuff like that, so it's hard for us noobs to decide between top tier builds.

Before anyone says "play what you enjoy" - I enjoy playing powerful builds so that I can see all of the game's content. I don't know enough about the game to do that without some help, which is where guides/advice etc can be useful.

Working my way up through ssf yellow maps now, and this is the most fun I've had in ages.

Thanks so much for the in depth guide.. I would be completely lost without it. This game has so much fucking content now it's bonkers!
