Hi guys,

has anyone worked in placing a small cluster jewel?

At the moment I have a large and medium with:

Storm drinker
Doriany lesson

The above give me life and es leech

+

Basics of Pain ( 20% increased damage and 30% cc)
Savage Response ( 40% cc chance + 50% critical strike )

I'm thinking to add a small cluster jewel and I'm not sure which one:

a) 4% increased max life +

Natural Vigor ( life and evasion )
Sublime sensation ( life and es )

b) 15% increased Evasion Rating

Prismatic Dance ( +1% to all elemental resistance and 30% evasion rating )

Was thinking as well with all the life regen I have and the leech to remove the life flask and add the one giving 3k evasion

What do you think?

Arcane surge requires you to spend mana. Since we spend energy shield with eldritch battery, arcane surge won't trigger.
I am returning to POE after several years and I used this guide to make an Arc elementalist witch. My char is currently level 76, I just finished Act 10 and have not started any maps. My passive skill assignment is exactly as Enki's guide recommends for level 80, except that I have no skills assigned in the staff-related passives. I am still using two wands.

My gear is pretty bad, just what I've found so far. Using 4 socket armor for the main Arc gem, just random rares for other equipment slots.

I was coasting along fine until the end of Act 10, when I ran into severe problems. When I assigned the last few passives according to Enki's guide, it switched my energy shield from protecting life to mana. As I result, I now have: 3273 life, 1256 mana (of which only 50 mana is available, the rest being reserved for Zealotry, Flesh to Stone, and Discipline). I also have a 1633 energy shield protecting mana.

The problem is that without energy shield protecting life and with zero life regeneration (since the passives have switched all life regeneration to mana instead), I die quickly to mobs. I am mashing potion buttons in every fight, and often I can't mash them fast enough (or health pots run out), and I die. This happens very frequently even to Act 10 mobs which I could easily kill before the passives switched my energy shield to mana and zeroed my life regen.

I am now done with Act 10, but I can't even begin maps because low level Act 10 mobs kill me.

Am I doing something wrong? Is this how the build is supposed to work? I tried to do a low level delve (with mobs level 63-64) and I died 7-8 times just trying to clear an azurite node. I did not have this problem before I reassigned passives.

Is there something I can do to fix this build? I don't want to waste time on a character this weak.

Sounds like you forgot to take 'Mind over Matter' - it will give you a big survivability boost.

Did you forget Mind over Matter and/or switched before finishing the third Labyrinth and are stuck without Life Leech?

I did not forget Mind Over Matter. I have that skill, but I'm still dying frequently as I said, to low level mobs.

I did not finish the 3rd Labyrinth, I've only done two. Right now I'm unsure I can even finish it because my character is so weak. I'm dying to mobs 10-11 levels lower than I am. The 3rd Labyrinth has level 68 mobs, not to mention the boss hits hard. I doubt I could survive that right now.

Does the 0.5% life leech from Paragon of Calamity really make a big difference to survivability?
Is anyone using Vaal Grace?

I am reluctant to give up Discipline energy shield for a "temporary" dodge chance that would cost me 2 skill points (because i need the 2 dex nodes).

Is it worth it? do people like it?

I see you have finished the story. Be sure to check your resistances, as you get another -30% to all resistances. Make sure elemental resist is at least 75% (up to 135% on red tier maps to deal with map mods), and any chaos resist is useful.

My Flame Dash isn't triggering roughly 50% of the time. I even always release arc spell before pressing the flame dash spell, but it simply wouldn't happen very often.

Is anyone else seeing this? Am I doing something wrong?
