Pretty nice build. I'm thinking about multistrike instead of melee splash. It wouldn't give more dmg for zombies against bosses?

I'm playing HC and I really want to know which gem combinations are the best for a bone offering+cwdt setup

The guide says :

Option 1 : 2L CWDT(20)+ Bone Offering(20) + 1L Desecrate

In another guide I saw:

Option 2: 4L CWDT(1)+ Immortal Call(3)+ Desecrate(6)+ Bone Offering(8)

Which one should I choose? I dont have much gem slots left so I have to pick one and use it.


If the 1st option is chosen, why do I use max Level of CWDT? It won't proc much would it?

Please tell me the most useful CWDT setup for this build in HC mode, thank you for your time.


p.s This guide doesn't use Immortal Call, isn't it mandatory for HC? Thank you.

I started using Cast When Stunned instead of CWDT and doing quite well. The main advantage is that CWS also triggers when you block a hit, and does not have any level restrictions. The disadvantage is that it doesn't trigger 100% if you get stunned, and you can't trigger reliably desecrate + bone offering when taking a big hit.

CWS can only be triggered by big physical damage hits (min 10% of your HP), but this should not be an issue.

I'm using CWS with double IC and increased duration, and max lvl CWDT with Desecrate / Bone Offering.

CWS to 2x IC doesn't do anything with the second gem AFAIK. Might want to swap that with something more useful

Yes it does! Is increasing the chance to trigger on stun, from 60% to 84%.

Was using the jewels in POB and still lower. Sitting at 49 block and 44 spell block.

Is this with Bone Offering? There's no way you're that low if you're using bone offering... I'm at 74/75

Worth change to solar guards for clearspeed or are faster change elder helmet with golems?

I am also using these for boss killing. Everything down except Uber Elder -



Also a red nightmare allows me to sit at 75/75 block. I probably will change my helmet enchant for +6% bone offering to allow me to change some block passive points for more life. 13/15 away from the final boss and nearly at 36/40 challenges. Still need that 6link chest.

I equipped him with a weapon + shield initially.

Just drop 2 Dyadus es and animate them? Even if it has equipped items it'll equip new ones allright.

I tried that and I ripped a Dyadus, and the guardian just kept his shield.

If that's not supposed to happen, then should I file a bug report?

A lot of the mf gear is a few chaos each. You can buy a quantity amulet (with block chance) for 30-40c and use that instead of the bisco. The rest have been investments from the start of the league. The abyss jewels were bought cheap (20-30c) and are worth an exalt or two. Helmet was bought for an exalt. The most expensive thing was the red nightmare. It allows me to replace the advancing fortress for 75/75 block and gain more minion dps with the scourge.

The shield has quantity and I use a bright beak for speed. I used to only use whirling blades for boss killing (haven't got the socket colours yet with my culling strike scourge). Otherwise shield charge with a brightbeak (which also has resistance) is faster. Especially when you're using SG with golems and charging through, convocating them into the pack. But it all comes down to personal preference.

Edit. Just want to add that the basket rapier is still a good option. It might be something I would use if I switch to a Greed's Embrace for more quantity.
